The main problem with an all punch squad probably wouldn't be taking on any one thing, but activating the entire level cause' you're bull rushing every mob you see. If you made prudent use of long range abilities this wouldn't be as much of a problem (and with free cover destruction from collateral damage you could take things out pretty quickly) but sooner or later you're gunna activate multiple squads, possibly out of punch charge reach, and it could go downhill from there really quick.

If you have level two mechs and now got crazy heals and AOE, no, there probably isn't much that can beat you, but a full squad of level two mechs is pretty damn expensive.

Uhhh Have you read the manga? Cause without the whole powers thing like the last two arcs of the manga wouldn't really exist.

Throw away our sacrificial knife, because we clearly can't use it responsibly. Then FEED THE POOR STARVING CHILD WHO HASN'T EATEN IN TWO YEARS
No, that's useless, he would of been dead if we weren't feeding him. Before the first action he would of died. -1

Yep, if we had to feed him with actions we would still only be able to feed him five times a year -1.

The first Dark Souls does a good job of not having highly farmable enemies.

Skeleton babies were quite farmable. Good bit of souls and unlimited humanity, just a pain to get to. Also you could get absolutely retarded souls from dark forest pvp before they patched it. I had a few times were I was literally getting a few million souls for every kill.

Though the best way to farm souls imo (and certainly most entertaining) in DaS was Co-op, so I hope that will still be true in DaS 2.

That makes me think that maybe we should teach Grate some sort of foreign language.
Teach Grate all languages, even long dead ones.

Especially the long dead ones! +1

You might not always have a suitable fencing weapon,

Says you, whats the point of raising a homicidal god of business if we don't make sure he can always kill someone in a fancy way?
+1 to the German Longsword Fencing!

They had that teaser around Christmas time with the elephant, and there has been a lot of speculation on the Pdox forums that the next expansion would be one about India, so it might very well be that.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about with the relationship thing. You can never plot to murder your kids. Just tested it, kid had -8 with me and I had -100 with the kid and couldn't plot. Other than that, you can always plot assuming you don't have an active plot.

Hecate can still be a playdate. She just won't move very much.

Set Hecate's corpse up in Grate's room and forbid him from touching her until we're ready to try again at resurrection.
This +1, leading into
Wait.

If we get Grate to do it, do you think we could get a bonus to the roll?
This when he's old enough to understand. Make sure to explain to him as he grows up that Hecate died for him, and that he owes it to her to use his powers of business management to generate a True Resurrection effect for her. Tell him to think of it as buying out a failed company and pumping enough capital into it that it becomes self-sustaining again.

+1, A failed company that was one of your startup investors too.

Revive Hecate to be the same age as Grate, have them go on play dates.
That doesn't sound so bad.... still I him to mug people.
The play dates could involve mugging people. Think of the hilarity of having her being forced on a date with the person who she got sacrificed to and had her blood drank by!
Hm...... +1 as long as the play date involves mugging then!
+1 for reviving Hecate and sending her and Grate on play-dates mugging people with magic economics, otherwise known as laissez-faire capitalism.
+1

By the way, if he is immortal now, we might have infinite time. After all, Greek ages of adulthood were younger, and immortals typically don't age beyond maturity.

+1 (and PTW).

So what do I do? always disband the levy that has my king in it?

What Mict says is the fastest way, but you can change the leader of individual levies (and resign your ruler from them) by clicking on the organize army button. Which is an arrow that points to the right near the top of the army info screen thing when you select the army.

Note that if you are a vassal your liege will frequently make you lead armies or your liege levies. My least favorite thing about being a vassal.

Maybe because X-com will take any hobo that shows up at their front door and make them into a solider, while they actually have standards for scientists and engineers?  :P

The local military sends soldiers and vehicles out all the time. They're just not good at it. Did you not notice all the missions with burned out husks of tanks and fighter helicopters lying everywhere?
I did not.
This brings up another question, though. If alien weapons destroy tanks in a couple shots, why don't they pulverize anyone wearing less than Titan armor? If we at least got a blurb about how there were multiple settings on captured weaponry or something that would be great, but there isn't any explanation beyond "Alright, you want all alien shots to be OHKO's? That's what I thought."

It was like that in the original. I guess the developers of this one just didn't want to put their players through the frustration of seeing their colonels equipped in the best armor in the game get one shot by a sectoid.

Also, the Open Door command is straightforward. Stand next to door. Press door button. Door opens.
Isn't that the left mouse button? That didn't seem to work after the tutorial.

It should be working. Can be a bit finicky at time but I use it all the time.

How can I minimize the fallout from one of my characters dying?
-Don't be an unreformed pagan
-Have a high (that tech that increases your demesne size as well) tech level in your capital.
-Have an heir with great diplomacy.

That + everything else you'd normally do to keep vassals happy. The first two are just to decrease the "short reign" penalty btw.

Also make sure to die with a giant pile of gold, both to bribe vassals and buy mercs in case of civil war. Focus on making your most powerful vassals happy by bribing them and using your chancellor. Or just make them not a threat by using your spymaster to discourage factionalism (if you have time, it can take forever) or if you have a reason, just imprison them.

Also, if a faction gets strong you can go park your army on top of the leader of the faction's capital, so they can't get any even troops when civil war hits.
