DF Community Games & Stories / Re: The Fatal Ice - Succession - 31.12

Your child was a girl. I named her Lorrie for meto30. She was was brutally murdered by goblins during Drachenmaul's turn while playing in the frozen wastelands.

So the blood-line of Hephaestus ends here  :-\

Lol at the fact we've become a female-only fort.
A band of women, living in a secluded hamlet, surrounded by ice walls on a haunted glacier with six mutated monstrosities lurking in the caverns below.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
LOL

That'd be a nice plot... Except Dwarven women have beards.

As it stands, the turn list will cycle over when the last player takes their turn. :P

So, we're all on the list still, we just have to wait.

Once the final player takes their turn, we'll have to start back with me, and go through again.

Should I put a limit on the number of players allowed to join?

You cannot fast travel underground.
I don't know if someone mentioned this, but it should be revised in the OP: You can fast travel underground, if you're directly under a site on the map. Doesn't matter how deep you are or even whether there are passages up within the site, you can fast travel away. So if you're desperately low on food/water/patience or managed to get there from an encounter bug, that's a possible escape.

Also, humans and elves both can recruit animal people underground (not sure about dwarves, may be automatically hostile.)
Ah yeah, I confirmed this just recently. I really never thought to mention it, but yes. If you're under a site, you can fast travel. I suppose I can edit the OP.

Also, have you ever visited a Mountainhome in clowntopia? Everything is smoothed, and there's walls and such all over. It's pretty cool.

smariot and Drachenmaul. Wonderful updates. :3 The Fatal Ice is turning out to be... quite Fatal.

At least the fort is moving at considerable speed, compared to other forts.

Sure Argembarger. Welcome aboard. Though, I think we're lacking dwarfs to be... dwarfed.

And yeah, what are we at now? 5 or 6 FBs? Unlucky, we are.

smariot: Not bad! You've got some kickass storytelling skills, I can see this already.

Too bad Glenneth died. =/ He had a really epic amount of musicality.

meto30: Of course you can join! :3

I personally use DFG as well, so go ahead and use it. I could never understand ASCII that well, I know enough to play the game, but its always better if I have a visual of what I'm seeing. xP

This fort just got hilarious.

But not in a funny haha way... Er.. Maybe. Idk.

I once killed a fort in about four days. Embarked on top of a chasm, with lots of undead monsters.

O____o

You killed the fort in turn 3?

Well shit.

Good luck smariot. If needs be, you are allowed to reclaim, and get the entire first year. Provided that you don't take 3/4th of your current year or some such. Idk.

I think I got to cocky or something. I just tried to fight a Bronze Colossus as well. I didn't have any Fluffy wamblers, but meh. I died in a fire, cause I lit a bunch of trees to try and burn the colossus to death. At least I managed to fracture his head with my Hydra fang. O-o

Mm, alrighty. Seems like a good way to train up no-stat skills pretty fast.

Though, my Swordsmanship didn't go up a whole lot when fighting it, but it did a bit, so not bad.

Oh, okay.

I'm just surprised it only took one grapple.

Then my Adventurer went and slashed out one of it's fangs. A pretty kickass memento.

So, I'm attacking this Hydra. I simply grab his left leg with my right upper arm, and now my Human is a legendary wrestler, legendary fighter, and close to leveling the skill again.

So... What the hell just happened? O_o
