It would probably skip the east coast and head straight for Europe; the gulf stream is a ways off shore.
I can confirm that us people on the west coast are enjoying our oil-free, hurricane-free ocean.  Of course, now that I've said that...

I don't quite understand why people keep harassing Muslims with stuff like this, or stuff about burkas, what Muhammad looks like (some even considered Muhammad in a bear suit to be offensive?), or anything else.  I thought we were trying to be an open-minded society, not the kind of society that harasses people until they send suicide bombers into our busy city squares to shut us up.  Not that they wouldn't send suicide bombers just because o_O

Tyra banks is hot and nothing you say or do can change this fact.
She's so not hot.  Even if you stripped her naked, wiped off her makeup, and dropped her in magma, she'd freeze to death from being so unattractive.

Did he promise to STOP SHAKING THE GOSH DARN CAMERA?!

Only saw the first Transformers... I had to actually look away during a fight scene because it was making me sick to my stomach.  The worst part was

I'm apparently able to disrupt radio signals by walking by said radio... dunno how normal that is though.  When my roommate had a rock station on, it would switch to country when I walked by, then back to rock once I was safely past.  And I HATE country.

So yeah, superpowers?

General Discussion / Re: Why you should grow a beard
« on: May 16, 2010, 06:25:02 pm »
I've been able to grow a full-faced (and neck) beard since senior year of high school.  Takes me about a month, although 2-3 weeks is enough to qualify as a beard.  It also comes with nice twinges of red within all the brown.  These days I keep it down to a gigantic goatee and sideburns for employability.

New addition to Atheist Thread: Should God be in all capital letters?
I've seen people put Yahweh and Jehovah in all caps.  Quite annoying, it is.

General Discussion / Re: Portal's free, go get it.
« on: May 16, 2010, 02:44:46 am »
Just beat Portal a few minutes ago, downloaded it from Steam for free.  Also beat Dragon Age today... gotta say, that's at least three--no four games I've finished and consider about at flawless as they can get... story-wise anyhow.

List so far: Earthbound, Star Fox 64, Dragon Age, Portal.

I might beat Dragon Age today and choose the "make Morrigane pregnant to save my hide" route.  I might have to buy Awakening just because I so badly, badly want to know what will happen next.

Also, I'm playing a Dwarf noble mage (mods, muahaha), and made sure to sleep with the noble hunter to get a child.  I so badly, badly hope that in the next game, my character gets to meet with and raise his child, and then say to him one day when he's come of age:

I'm 23, single, still a virgin.  Take your time, it's not a race.

If anything, those that run faster end up running the race a couple more times and still lose.  Figuratively.

I found this rather interesting.

General Discussion / Re: Grinding in MMORPGs
« on: May 12, 2010, 08:46:15 am »
Come to think of it, Sonic Adventure: Battle 2 had an RPG element to it (it was actually a decent game, not the utter crap the recent Sonic games are).  There was a side mini-game where you raised cute little creatures named Chao.  They had stats that could level up, and you leveled them up by feeding them Chaos Drives, which you got from killing robots in the main game.  It always took the same amount of Drives to increase their stats, and you could only bring in 10 from each mission, and that seemed to serve the game well enough.  Although with an MMO, that could get boring, since most of the robots you fought early on were pretty much the same much later.
