Glass is magma safe AFAIK. Strange that loose objects melt.

they were bolts named mugs, but it was strange to see my ammo stockpile full of "mugs".
Also, it had the problem of having traders request mugs, and I did not know wether they were actual mugs or ammos. Damn, there should be a way to make ammo classes everything, from mugs to kittens.

D'oh sorry, I read "tame" in the OP instead of train.

Yeah, in vanilla DF only dogs are trainable, you need to modify the raws adding the [trainable] tag to them. And they have to be tame to be trained ofc.

In theory it is not that hard, you would need:
-make a big square of wall
-pump in a z-level of magma
-add another square of walls on top of the other one
-pump a z-level of water

repeat, increasing your pump stacks height each time.

The recipe is like this:

iron+coal+flux= pig iron

steel=pig iron+iron+coal+flux=(iron+coal+flux)+iron+coal+flux=2iron+2coal+2flux

that if you work at a magma smelter. At a regular smelter you would need one more coal for each reaction (2 more plus the coal needed to smelt the iron).

AFAIK they cannot be trapped, killed by cats, seem to spawn instantly when food/corpses are not in barrel, and are give a mild bad tohught to any dwarf. They are just anoying, and it's still to prove that they rot food (had my prepared food sieged by swarms and not a single one rotted yet).
