Ah, he's making a joke about the prohibition of depictions of Muhammad (or just his face, in some cases) in Islam and the whole "Danish-cartoon" fiasco.

I have now vivisected the joke for your enjoyment.

My roommate says members of heavy metal bands keep strange schedules.  Methinks the Toady One has most of them topped.
Or do you perhaps find the sunlight a bit... harsh?  As in "reduce your undead form to ash" kind of harsh?  Because if so, you should probably save yourself the hunting time and start soliciting donations of blood from the forum-goers.  I'm sure plenty would donate, though shipping might be a pain.

Oh come on, he's obviously just cave adapted and doesn't feel like vomiting all over the place.

Actually, if you never assign a Captain of the Guard or any Fortress Guards, nobody will ever be punished.  This annoys the nobles a bit, but who cares about them anyway (slightly more important ones like the Mayor can be kept happy with lots of other nice things).

However, if the entire area is full to 2/7 or greater, it will not evaporate.  Ever.

As for the magma-men, water's really the best choice.  It'll boil almost instantly, sure, but that boiling sucks a lot of heat out of the heat source (in this case, the magma-man), flash-freezing it into a nice obsidian statue.

Of course, whether this will work depends on whether fixed-temperature creatures obey the laws of thermodynamics or not.  I'm betting they don't (effectively acting as infinite energy sources), so this might simply end up making a lot of steam and an angry magma man.  As someone else said, if you could actually cool them down, they'd already have a solid outer layer from interaction with normal air.  Or perhaps this is why they almost never leave their magma pipe?  They have to sulk for a while to reliquefy themselves after a sojurn, and don't venture far so they can take advantage of the superheated air around the magma pipe?

Art defacement is a bad thought with a value of -1000 / number of masterworks made (taken from the wiki).  Even if the numbers are wrong, the principle is the same- if your craftsman has made so many masterworks that making one is "Tuesday" to him, rather than a once-in-a-lifetime event, he won't care too badly about his masterworks getting melted.

They're a modded-in race from the Relentless Assault mod.  Think Tolkien Ents, only attacking you.

I think the "flanged mace" look, with a curved point coming off of each side, would work best.  You could just continue the shaft up through the head then.  I'm basing this off of the main image for the Wikipedia mace article.  The flanges are nice and flat / rectangular in all dimensions except for the curve, so it should work pretty well.  Alternately, you could make it a cubical "head" with a square pyramid coming off of each side.  That makes it nicely angular and preserves the desired pointy striking-head with support behind it.

Does too.  You find very tiny quantities of native aluminum in igneous extrusive layer stone (apparently this *is* possible IRL; the aluminum has to have ended up somewhere without much oxygen to react with).

It is, however, worth quite a lot since it's so rare.  It's worth as much as platinum, in fact.

Kanddak is the current Dwarven Doctor of Fluid Logic (PhD).  See his designs for an eight bit ripple-carry adder and seven segment display (the seven-segment display's down a bit), or the more recent fully-automated magma deathrap.

I am also working on an adressable random access memory system.  I've pretty much got it, actually; all I have to do is work out an automation for the READ / WRITE signals (you have to wait a bit, to ensure things fill or drain properly, which currently has to be done by hand).
