I've just been looking through the list of deities of my fellow dwarven civilizations and found this funny little pantheon:

The Rampart of Morals, Dwarves
 Worship List
  Ral, deity: earth
  Aran Renownsieged, deity: fortresses, war
  Asen Depthechoed, deity: jewels, wealth, mountains, caverns
  Conngim, deity: beauty
  Tunur, deity: love
  Sedil Honorsavior, deity: forgiveness
  Tesum the Bright Hardiness, deity: thunder, lightning, storms

The deities in bold are the ones that almost made me spit my drink on the keyboard. I'm still new to dwarf fortress, so I'd like to know if this is normal. Such a bunch of wussies doesn't look very dwarven to me.

Watch out troopers, there are still bugs out there!

Here's what you have to do to get rid of 'em:

In body_POKEMON.txt:

add the following: [BODYGLOSS:POKE_TOE_CLAW:toe:claw]

In creature_POKEMON.txt:

- 41 zubat: search for wing attack, add :wing attacks directly after it (two times). Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token.

- 42 golbat: search for wing attack, add :wing attacks directly after it (two times). Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token.

- 50 diglett: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token. Add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM]

- 51 dugtrio: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token. Add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM]

- 64 kadabra: replace [FLEE_QUICK] with [FLEEQUICK]

- 71 victreebell: remove [LARGE_CAVERIVER], add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_WATER]

- 74 geodude: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token. Add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM]

- 75 graveller: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token. Add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM]

- 76 golem: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token. Add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM]

- 92 gasthly: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token.

- 93 haunter: Remove the [LARGE_CHASM] token.

- 112 rhydon: search for the stomp attack line. Add :BYTYPE directly afer MAIN.


Now that the mod should be bug-free, what shall we do next?

- add Team Rocket? Probably humans with kobold traits mixed in. [SLOW_LEARNER] seems appropriate.

- remove the other creatures (Made my computer freeze, so tread carefully).

- and, of course, add more pokemon. Do we have volunteers for that?

Ok, we're getting better and better.

In creature_POKEMON.txt:

- 76 golem: replace BUILDING_DESTROYER with BUILDINGDESTROYER
- 94 gengar: replace GHOSTLYSTUFF with GHOSTSTUFF

In mattgloss_POKE.txt:

If you want to have saryugems and starmiegems only in stones that can contain aquifers replace both entries with the following:

edit: As 3 suggested I removed the LARGE_CASM and LARGE_CAVERIVER tokens in creature_POKEMON.txt, adding the BIOME tokens where needed.

Thank you for this awesome mod, Doomshifter.

I've been playing around with it since yesterday and I've noticed a few things.

First, removing all non-vermin, non-pokemon creatures (and removing everything from creature_standard but dwarves, elves, humans, goblins and kobolds) didn't work out so well for me. Elves always had a 'no trade' sign during embark. Also the game started to crash after selecting an embark site (after pushing 'e' the computer froze). So for now I advise against removing creatures.

Second, there's a long errorlog when I gen a world. Here's a list of the bugs I found:

In body_POKEMON.txt:

- replace token APETURE with APERTURE in the following entries: caterpillar, bat and drio.

In mattgloss_POKE.txt:

- the staryugem and starmiegem entries use ENVIRONMENT:AQUIFER:... tokens. Those don't work.

Quick and dirty solution: replace AQUIFER with SOIL.

Long solution: Replace the single ENVIRONMENT token with an ENVIRONMENT_SPEC token for every stone and soil type that can contain an aquifer?

In creature_POKEMON.txt:

-  60 poliwag: replace BRAINS with BRAIN
-  61 poliwhirl: replace BRAINS with BRAIN
-  60 poliwrath: replace BRAINS with BRAIN
-  63 abra: replace FLEE_QUICK with FLEEQUICK
-  64 kadabra: replace FLEE_QUICK with FLEEQUICK
-  69 bellsprout: replace FLEE_QUICK with FLEEQUICK
-  72 tentacool: replace ATTAFLAG_WITH with ATTACKFLAG_WITH
-  73 tentacruel: replace ATTAFLAG_WITH with ATTACKFLAG_WITH
-  94 gengar: replace AMBUSH_PREDATOR with AMBUSHPREDATOR
- 100 voltorb: replace TILE'o' with TILE:'o'; replace SUBTERANNEAN_CHASM with SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM
- 101 electrode: replace TILE'o' with TILE:'o'; replace SUBTERANNEAN_CHASM with SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM
- 109 koffing: replace SUBTERANNEAN_CHASM with SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM
- 110 weezing: replace SUBTERANNEAN_CHASM with SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM
- 112 rhydon: replace SUBTERANNEAN_CHASM with SUBTERRANEAN_CHASM
- 123 scyther: replace NO_FEAR with NOFEAR
- 151 mew: replace MISCHIEVOUS with MISCHIEVIOUS

Those changes leave only the following in the errorlog:
