Other Games / Re: Bioshock: Infinite (aka Project Icarus)

If the building was found high in the alps, it could be that it fell away from the rest of the city any time between 1902 and 1980; but most likely during the period of massive fighting in 1912 (game time).  Given what I understand about the city of Columbia, each building has its own suspension system, and if it broke away it wouldn't have nessissarily had fallen straight down, but glided.  The cold up high in the Alps would have acted wonders in perserving the wreckage.  No rift needed. Lol.

But it looks like it'll be one of the things we figure out in the game.  8)

Given what Fort Zombie started with, I think ROAM has a better handle on the scope of the project and what is required.  If nothing else, I like strategy elements.  I'd say, give it a chance.

I'd so go for it, Imofexios. On its own, Towns is a brilliant indie project, a city-builder with a scope and scale that rivels the upcoming Sim City 5 if for no other reasons than you can actually control what's going on with the villagers.

Throw in the 'Majesty'-like random Heroes that you can only influence instead of controlling as they go off and do their own thing, and you have a game that I've spent close to 90+ hours with already.  If nothing eles, its worth the value of it.

Being in developement still, Towns also gets new features, balancing changes, and an active community to keep things interesting.  The rest is up to you, Imofexios.

Aaaah.  A good answer, Lord Dullard.  Hopefully after this, your knowledge of similiar subjects will be on par with his own, if not more so, given the advanced strategic elements being written into Cult.

@Xantalos: I'd suggest looking up Cult: Awakening of the Old Ones Kickstarter in google for a comprehensive idea of what the game is.

The fact that this is a realitively short time between letting us know you're alive and well and showing proof that you'll working on it, I think people will learn a little bit more patience from the entire experience, Lord Dullard. Haha.

On an unrelated note, I'd like to know how you came up with your name, Lord Dullard. Rather its a nickname or a favorite persona. :D

Lookin' awesome, Lord Dullard! Having the ability to instigate your own graphics, regardless of tile size, is a great feat, especially for a game as complex as Cult is going to become.  8)

I've been wanting to play Unreal World for a while now; but haven't had the money to buy a key to the game.  IT is good to see that there is such longevity in it, though.

I heard some time ago that there are splinter cells of the Chaos Legions that didn't support the rest, and were absorbed into smaller chapters after the Codex was created at the end of the Horus Heresy.  Thanks to their uncorrupted geneseed, atleast some of them still carry the fundimentals of the legions that had fallen, even though they cannot even think of htemselves as being part of their lost heritages.

Unless we have the ability to replace population workers with say, steam-driven robotics or cult-controlled golemns? Mwhahahaha.

Not just the title change.  It seems you devs are also becoming much more active, which is always a good sign.  With a two-man team, its understable to be hard when trying to keep up with the afluence of community management and commentary.

Finally allowing alpha/beta testers is good news, as well.  I am excited.  8)

Having a scripted scenario at the start isn't nessissarily a bad thing, especially if its part of the tutorial and story.  Conlan could always be considered a 'hero' character during that time; and I don't think anyone would have minded.

A hundred people maximum doesn't really sound like many, honestly.  I want totake a colony and turn it into a thriving town with over 500+ peoples in it, and then unleash a horror brought in from somewhere else just to watch the avid decline of civilization.  8)

The render is starting to look very natural, Gaslamp-Daniel.  I just have a problem with the water edges where it meets the terrain, though.  Something about it messes with my eyes; as if there's a clashing of rendered screens trying to overlap one another.  It may just be me, though.

On another note, keep up the good work!

Silverwood trees that are generated during worldgen are based upon the number of trees grown within a chunk ,as well as the realitive strength of the aura in the area.  A lone silverwood tree may grow in a chunk with a very high aura and no trees; but its more likely to get two or more silverwood trees in a chunk with alot of trees and a rather <500 ranged aura node in it.
