I wonder if we will hear about division and how much more *awesome* they are since last time we heard about them. Then ill rage about their shitty practice when the game comes out not being as advertised. Seem to be quite the new trend now, overhype the game, show what the game will be only to sell only 30% of what it was supposed to be. Watch dog fiasco anyone?

Why do ppl watch E3 anyway... only a few % seem to be legit marketing while the majority of the rest is only... well blowing your mind away so you dont think too much when comes time to buy the game.... even if its subpar.

One mechanic that would be neat would be the option to target armories for the ability to gain heavy weapons, which could be used to build and arm heavy troops such as MECs.  They would likely be akin to targeting landed supply ships early on in Long War, being very risky, where even a success would include heavy casualties.  Launching an assault would require a lot of preparation. You would need to find someone who knows the location of an armory, and maybe even someone who works at one in some fashion. Then you would have to obtain access codes, or get powerful enough explosives that it wouldn't matter. Next you could launch a diversion to draw away guards, at the expense of making the guards that remain more alert, or launch a stealth assault to catch them unaware.  If you want to avoid attracting attention, you could try to sneak one or two operatives in, covering them with snipers, and just get a few light guns. Finally you have the option of doing a hot extraction with the skyranger or sneaking away into the city.  The hot extraction would allow you to carry away more supplies, but might require you to target anti-air sites, and spend money on repairs.  Running into the city would have you move less material, but would carry less risk.
Since you are no longer the reactionary force responding to alien attacks, you would have a lot more room for planning out assaults, and could pick and choose your targets.
Later in the game, it would be possible to just launch a straight up assault, using fighters to blast your way into the city.  Such as option would give the aliens time to respond, so in addition the the guards at the armory, you would also have an elite alien task force responding to you attack.
Such a raid would greatly heighten security across the region, making a second attack neigh on impossible until it lowers, and even then it would be significantly harder.  This would prevent you from just farming armories for weapons, and would make your choice of loot much more important.
Screw you... now i want all that in game....... game spoiler shessh :)

Exactly! Also i havent been following carefully enough but if the human race as a whole doesnt know advent are in fact alien, advent could go as far as calling XCOM pro-alien as te general populace dont know who XCOM really are beside the council? Unless the advent are trying to sell the alien-as-benefactor.

Man does that makes me think of the serie who got canned V ( for visitor ), where the alien invade earth and are covertly working toward earth enslavement but in public relation appears as god sent, giving away massive steps in technology souch as blue energy wich is nearly infinite energy at really low cost, masssive advance in medical stuff like that, while a small group being actively hunted by them and the authority is trying to expose who they really are but is having hard time since they are *soo good*

As someone theorized earlier, they might be harassing the areas outside the cities.  You'd think their population would explode uncontrollably...  But that didn't happen in XCOM 1 so presumably there are some limiting factors.  In this case, it could be that the rural areas are severely depopulated since the aliens arrived.  The aliens supposedly saved humanity from something, after all.  Hm...
Harassing the area outside of megacity and while at it blaming XCOM turned rogue for PR so the cities hates us and not them. We often see in movies government doing terrorist attacks to further scare population and *force* them to accept heavvier control by the different alphabets? In person of interest there was such attack to make the *machine* more accepted by the senate or something and in few other movies/series.

This is entirely true and a wholly valid thing that has happened to me in the past and I fear it'll happen in FO4 as well.

Anything but my dogmeat.   :'(

Cruising along toward that refugee center on the other side of the map in my deathmobile, as i turn a corner straight in the middle of the road there is this road blockade with a military truck in the war and i hear p-p-p-pow X9 and stuff from these turrets/chicken walker right behind, as im starting to slow down by applying handbrakes my character see's a laser point on his chest. I had just enough time to kill the engine set a course to that military cargo truck and i start running behind the door of the repurposed RV/deathmobile. I did managed to avoid being shot by that walker but now i KNOW i am on a collision course at 50kph and i have nothing to strap me in.... the collision will hurt i can feel it.

It finaly impact the cargo truck, sending me flying but my armor took the broad of it and i only got minor wounds. As i open the side door, hopping the military truck would still be between me and the chicken walker/turret combo. It is!! the military truck should offer decent cover while i move toward them for hacking. First time facing a chicken walker so i dont know what to expect. As i lay my back on the cargo truck the chicken walker keep firing so does that anti-material turret shooting frigging .50caliber like there is no tomoror coming. As i attempt to hack these turrets, computer being my lowest skill, i fail and i keep failing and i move because these turret/walker are SHREDDING the cargo truck real fast. I prepare my next tactics, i have a bunch of EMP grenade i made some time ago and..... they are still in the RV with barely anything left of the cargo truck, going back to fetch them will place me straight in the line of fire of EVERYTHING on the other side.

Screw it, there is no way my weapon can deal with all of them before i die, grenade is the only chance. I pump up some adrenaline using the CBM i had installed, eat a few pills for pain/speed boost such as cafeine, adderall and everyfucking thing i had on me just for good measure. Halfway there they shoot me, the broad of the shots either impacted the remaining military cargo, or flew past me, a couple 9mm did impact me but luckily my armor took the hits, got damaged real bad but nothing to me, Oh and i forgot... a single .50cal did go trought my backpack/armor that i lined with kevlar and did a whooping 50 damage to my left arm. As soon i enter my RV the line of sight was blocked so i took a first aid kit, pumped some healing nanobots and took all kind of explosive, from C4 to dynamite and EMP.

As soon i opened the door a volley of everything came my way but the range was kinda high so everything did miss me but did massive damage to my RV, the side wasnt that reinforce as i didnt think i would need it that much... that's a mistake. So i ran back to the military truck and since the turret did just fire i had just enough time to reach a *safe* place. As i work my way around the truck as soon the turret finished his burst i sent everything i had towards them and waited. couple of big boom later only the chicken walker waas still up and i peeked around the corner only to get shot in the face, at the distance i was all shot went squarre on me and it did hurt, oh did it hurt, took my rifle out, lined a shot and critical hit for 70+ damage taking the walker down.

I survived but god it was fun for the time it lasted! Now time to repair that RV and fix myself up.

I was more of the sneaky assault rifle/sniper kinda guy. I was also playing with leveling armor and weapon just because i prefered some armor over the other for the look but kinda wanted to keep them all the way during the game, wihile power armor are good armor and gatling gun/plasma cannon thingy are good DPS in end game i dont really like the feel/look of them, too much high tech not enough scavengy.

Sooo i have this character, the first one i really kept more than a *season* usually played till end summer then i was bored, i forced myself to keep playing the character and work on everything while trying to survive. I have my rolling house with everything i could ever want, AC in summer and heating in winter with fridge and well everything to make life easier. Latly, well 3 day now (RT) i have been trying to find a god damned portal generator to make that 10k volume or was it 100k volume? cargo space thingy, i have the teleporter but i cannot seem to find the generator, anyone can nudge me in the right direction?

While i do love what you did with your game, coming around just to advertise your game as first post raise a flag for the community, i hope you will stick around. We are not a simple advertising board. Speaking of wich, maybe we should have a sub-section for indie devloper wishing to advertise their game? Just thinking out loud wile im at it :)(.

Good work and keep it on!

After seeing the trailer i feel its going back toward fallout 3 survival-centric more than FNV where its more political than survival and that makes me happy, between FNV and fallout 3 level design i prefered the fallout 3 setting, heavily ravaged while fnv was more of western setting.

Anyhow i will watch without following the hype train as i have been burned too many time.
