How soon is "soon?"

Garry's Mod? I'd like to try and recreate the GMod Dwarves that were linked on here one time.

Plus, GMod is so DF-like. What other game can you kill someone with a smashy-thing?

Edit: Adding multiplayer games I own.
Half-Life 1 and 2 deathmatch, Counterstrike, GMod, Unreal Tournament 2004. I could easily obtain mods for any of these.

I just joined the group. I'm not saying I'll play online much, though. I'm in as Grue.

I haven't played it. I've got it, but haven't installed it yet, which is a new thing for me as I usually play games as soon as I get them.

While I never put stock into reviews of others, a review on GameFAQs gave it a 3/10. A few people on the message board call it mediocre.

Lads, yet another "oldie", but probably it's one of the best RPGs. Temple of Elemental Evil
The official release is full with bugs, but the ToEE community is still very active, and the modders are fantastic.
Circle of Eight Modpack 5.5.0 has been released, and it's just pure awesomeness.  8)

Holy crap. I just reinstalled that yesterday. Great fun. I had to uninstall due to a bit of a patching mistake, but now that I know 5.5.0 is coming out soon, I'd rather not start a new game in case of save incompatibility.

I'm not presuming to know anything about the convoluted law processes going on, but I heard that you didn't buy the right to use any copy of the software you wanted, but you bought the storage media it comes on.

I tend to not think about it too much. If I want to download something I already own, I'll do it regardless.

An online translator says "ページが見つかりません。" means "The page is not found" so I'm assuming it's down.

Nice... Seeing this topic again made me want to download it, too.

The only things roguelike about it are the random world and the perspective. It's more of a survival game than a "retrieve the doohickey from the big baddy" type of game.

Strange. It worked perfectly on my XP machine. Granted, we bought it six years ago...

1.01 here, if you don't mind FilePlanet.

1.03 here

This game was pretty fun. I wish I didn't get rid of it.

I can't remember which reputable news source I got this from, but it seems that that could happen. Some WWII veteran tried to do a murder/suicide thing with his wife, but the powder was so degraded in his pistol that the worst thing a bullet did was lodge in his ear.

Sorry. I haven't watched the two videos in the previous post, so I don't know if they refute that or not.

Anyway, slightly more on-topic: Zero Punctuation!
His verdict? It's pretty good. That's better than I can say for most games.

EDIT: The confusion may arise from the fact that the two games were included in a two-fer-one pack sortofa thing, in which I myself purchased them. I'm not sure just how widespread this two-fer offer was, though, could've been local. At least, I think that's how I got them...

Yeah.  I never played Dark Reign 2, but I have the first one around here somewhere, and it's nothing like what you described.  Does the word 'Togran' sound familiar?  'Cause it was all about some time traveling dead prophet making you play RTS simulators to save the past or some shit.

The expansion to DR1 is sort of like that. The two main sides from the original game crash on an alien planet. What are considered the good guys learn to train native animals.

Morrowind with Better bodies mod, new hi-res textures and MGE mod (allows you to view things in LOD, not the "limiting smokescreen at horison") make it very beautiful and IMO the graphics become very nice.
...
Yes, there're mods, but it's not Bethesda's work.

If you're going to allow mods for one comparison but not for another, it seems that your argument is flawed.

How about Night Trap? It's an old Sega CD game where you play as a SCAT (Sega Control Attack Team, for those with dirty minds) member Who has to protect five scantily-clad coeds. May not be what you had in mind. I must say that I never actually played it. It seems to be more of an interactive FMV, anyway.

Is that supposed to do anything? I see some big tank-like thing, but it just sits there. The front wheel kind of turns a bit and every once in a while the whole contraption gives a slight jerk, but nothing happens.

I'm sure you guys are sick of seeing my name by now.

I just saw the ending and I am not impressed.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now, I guess I have to wait until the modders remove the game-over so I can go back, finish the mission, and kill some more stuff. I could do that now, but I guess I'm a completionist. I'd rather have my quest log full.

Tip for new players: People in metal power suits are strangely vulnerable to the flamer.  ;D
