This isn't even a question. We must advance the plot find more information!
The story will move forward at your pace, and your choices will change the story. I have no specific direction I want you to go, so don't feel as if you're being railroaded. If you want to ignore the last event and do something else, that's fine too. The only reason I'm offering 4-5 choices is to keep it somewhat sane. You've seen how many things people have suggested already. :)

That may be true, but my pace is 5 lightyears/second, so...

What to do with the shifty German? He may be von Junker, he may be no one important, and he could be a decoy. Then again, he is a German...

Ask to see what is in the attache case. If he starts running, try to hit him in the hand with the case so that he drops it, then his legs to stop him from running. You can't escape the U.S. Marshals MI:G! If he refuses, mumble something about Normandy, and let Wellington try to convince him to let us look at it.

All right, enough with the banks.

Wait until the bridge is built, then go out to the town UltraValican is in and preach the merits of banking, and how a loan is all positive and won't bite them in the ass later.

"Who needs to defend the tower when we can let them in and give them loans at predatory rates?"

Already quitting work in the lab?  :P I think what I should do is float the bank on the stock market and then collapse it just to ruin the world's economy, I think I'll call it Les Men Sisters

Well, if your looking to attract players...mission accomplished!

Spoiler: Char Sheet (click to show/hide)
[4] Oriana did start in Lencil.
[6]
De Lia Pafilia is a ranch in 1d7=[6] 7th parcel of Lencil. It provides you with an income of 2f/quarter. though this does not count as a "fine horse" resource. Your innovation, while propelling you into becoming one of the royal horse suppliers, also saddles you with a debt of 40f from your investment. It is still serviceable at the moment, paid by income from de lia Pafilia.

From the beginning, Dwarmin. It was 4f in my last update because I just added le agua to it. I don't seem to recall it being buffed up to +4.They're in separate sections this time. Also, shouldn't it be l'agua?

Send William off to kill Prince GeorgeInstead give the business to Alexander the Great of Macedonand have Grigori traet me

The first part seems logical, but you probably can't treat yourself twice in the same quarter. Although, I could just take away more money for rush treatment...

[92!] whoops, not 1d100... [3] Alexander takes over with incident. What incident you ask? His ego gets a bit inflated and starts calling himself by an even longer name, Alexander the Great of Macedon but he for some reason mumbles "of macedon." [5] William doesn't seem to put out at getting fired for some reason.

I think that it was mentioned that we can't simply jam modules together and make a new ship. We have to research the new ship, so renting now would be useless.

You can't fault me for posting again. Unless you can...

Treat myself and assign William to run my businesses. :'( meanie dice

Meanie dice indeed. [1] You're not a doctor, so you can't treat yourself, but you try anyway, and only end up getting scammed for 2f on snake oil. ((cough, Gergori, cough)) [4] William takes over without incident, but doesn't have much to run except a plot of empty land, [1] and he doesn't think of rebuilding the tavern even though he's a carpenter. Alexander looks a bit jealous...

It doesn't matter where it is, just that it exists! (kind of)

Keep founding evil banks, banks everywhere! Surely, this will end the world.

296
What do you mean I shouldn't be double posting?!

I... can't be bothered to double check Oriana's math, or can I? I can. The spoiler with your stats from my last update for you was actually supposed to go on the bottom as that shows your stats at the end of that quarter, so the real stats (assuming that you bought the land and the flood-proofing is as follows)

A considerable amount less, by 2f/quarter, however, then you account for the +5, so you'll have 11 rather than 6f. God, bookkeeping is hard.

Scrimp and Save!

[4] You scrimp and you save, and then you save some more, then you scrimp some more. Doing it seperately may have taken away from the effectiveness, but you do manage to save a one time boost of 3f for a total of 14f.

Quote from: Dwarmin
She wondered how long it would be till the prince come-a-calling?

[1] The prince has recently gotten engaged, and the news went across the land. [4] However, there's still hope (if I'm interpreting that quote correctly) as the marriage would have been one of convenience, but the bride's family has recently fallen out of power after the revolts of 653.

((as a side note, when you rolled a one, I considered making George a homosexual, but figured that would be too harsh.))

I'll have firelordsky after I eat lunch.
Spoiler: Did you see the joke? (click to show/hide)

297
Tough luck, firelordsky. I think that means that weakness will go until Winter 655. (But only if a year goes Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn. If we're going DF style (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) then it'll still be winter, but it'll be Winter 654.

In other news, I already used up 4f from the loan in a failed attempt to repel the lawless Carrerans, and we've gone through two quarters.

Quote from: What it would've been if I'd thought of it
Before he sold the tavern, he was going to burn it down and say that lightning did it, so he took out a [6] [6] [6] [6] [6] [6] [6] [6] 200,000f insurance policy on the tavern. [1] However, due to poor book keeping (in the literal sense) and damp weather, 4 zeros simply fell off the notice, so only 20f was payed out.

I guess I'll always have this missed opportunity.

I was thinking it would make it easier to obtain/use money, which is of course every villain's dream. Obviously, Robid Hoon wouldn't be a communist.

Begin founding "evil banks of doom," which are just normal banks but with a more ominous atmosphere inside, with any funds available.

Things are looking up again for Lencil. Admittedly, things were looking good when the Carrerans only demanded one parcel of land when they could've grabbed all ten, and things were looking stellar before that, so the experts said it was all square. It was in this time of plenty that a simple mercenary captain from Morwood tried to grab a piece of the ever growing Lencil pie (which taste oddly like dirt).

Buy out one of the local taverns after I get paid and try to haggle down the price.

Although Lencillians aren't known for their racism, and are normally quite nice, except to the bloody Carrerans, the Barbarians from Morwood don't exactly have the best reputation since they invaded in 549. Lencil won, and got their tiny bit of forest, but the destruction was still devastating.

Alexander the Great Bard wandered the land in search of a tavern to buy in these times [5] and found one. It was in decent shape, but the owner needed money after having heard of il Basterdo's escapades and trying to gamble like a pro. Alas, he wasn't a pro and the rest isn't history, but it is obvious. [2] However, he needs quite a lot of cash to pay off his loans, totaling 8f. 80% of the Bard family's reserves. Alexander the Great tried haggling the price down, and at one stage threatened to conquer all of the known world if he didn't lower the price, [4] which confused the owner so much he accidentally said 7f. Alexander snatched up the the deal, and cut a complex knot for no other reason than to insert a reference to history. The owner and his workers would stay in place, but you would take the profits. How much profit? ((I accidentally pressed "generate" twice on Random.org and got two 6's. I rolled again just to see, and got another, so you know what's next))

Gigantic Overreach [6][6][6] The ink on the transfer notice had barely dried when the jaws of hell opened up and swallowed the tavern! No, not a joke. However, everyone managed to get out, but because they were all drunk, no one will be able to relate this tale with any sort of certainty. Except Alexander, who continued to tell the story until he later died of malaria. Luckily, the tavern was insured to the effect of 20f, which you as the owner now receive. The tavern was in a rural area and was more a stopping point for travelers, so the travelers just assumed it had been dismantled. It didn't cause a great commotion amongst the drunks, [2] but a few stopped to "ask" to hold 6f. [3] Alexander reminded them that he was going to conquer the known world, so they only walked away with 5f.

Spoiler: Howard Bard (click to show/hide)

If you really want to, replace "jaws of hell" with rampaging, pyromaniac travelers.

Also, I'll wait for winter to come.
