It says what can be done right there, under "Additional Information", small modding is required.

DF General Discussion / Re: Dwarf fortress in Poland

"DF multi-player" takes 2 basic forms. The community fortress, where a group of people make suggestions or discuss what to do, but only one person is actually at the controls. And the succession fortress, where people take turns being at the controls.
And then there is DFTerm. Few years ago we in Russian DF community had a lot of fun with it, though it has few problems and needs to be tweaked to work with latest version.
DFTerm (and similar things like webfort) essentially just provide a convenient way to do what are essentially succession forts without having to pass a save around.
There's a big difference between playing for fifteen minutes or less while other players watch and chat, and playing for a year each with no real communication beyond AAR type posts.
True. I also remember a (more recent) fort running around 20 real-time days with all pauses removed, with people connecting and doing stuff whenever they want, and contingency plan in form of a walled-in vampire and autobackups. It was quite an experience.
The only two problems were occasional griefing and backspace button not working.

They are great siege operator material now, as they won't run away if enemies get close.

Why settle for something that resembles the Earth, when you can make one?

They are the same in terms of weight.
Consider removing breastplates (if you have chain mails) and if you use metal shields replace them with wood (featherwood if possible), until your military is properly trained.

Wagons probably saw a body / body parts / zombie stuck somewhere, panicked and deconstructed to "wagon logs" bar. That happens.

Well, iron bolts never were good against armor, especially steel and higher. Use silver or copper for better results.

Well, I upload best (most fun) fortresses to df map archive, and go through them once in a while.
There were some that died an FPS death, I feel kind of sad that I don't have saves left now that I got decent PC, though.
How did you make the underground garden in the Kingfortunes?
That are the custom "workshops" in Masterwork mod. Fountains, gardens, flower pots and so on. The one near king's room is Fountain of Ethernal Youth (or something similar), quite hard and expensive to build, but it heals any injuries and adds years to livespan or something, I don't remember the exact details.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Body Parts igniting on Load

This is a known feature. Try making the shoes from it's leather or feeding the meat to dwarves.

That's why you build fortifications.
Fortifications do not stop dwarves from going out anymore. Not even dodging through them, they just simply go through.

163
What angers me most is that I have to build safety ceilings because the idiots want to jump down 4zlvls to bash goblin lashers with their wooden crossbows.

So, does ceiling prevent them from climbing down? I had the same problem and I pretty much sure I had ceilings above fortifications, walls were 2z levels high, but my marksdorfs would still climb down to fight in melee.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Dwarves always drowning?
« on: April 06, 2015, 06:01:09 am »
They climb down the walls to drink and/or wash probably. Or, if there is no alternative route and they have something to do outside, like plant gathering or wood hauling, they WILL try to climb and swim.

You can just use d-b-h to hide them.
