[Colorado]
We're in Colorado now. Didn't think we would make it. Somewhere back in Nebraska we picked up raiders. We noticed some bikes coming up behind for a few miles and then, suddenly, a whole pack of raiders rode in from the on-ramp ahead of us. So then Kelly rolls down the window, leans out, shoots, and hits three of them immediately, so now we've got a bit of a gap. So I gun it, I pushed that pedal all the way to the floor, and we make it past the impromptu motorcycle barricade.
Of course, this is a family van, it's not made for speed, so we don't get much of a head start before the raiders have repositioned their bikes and they're gaining on us. Kelly kept them from getting past us, somehow. At one point, one was approaching from the driver-side; she told me to roll down my window; she laid the Garand across my arms and shot the guy right in the head. I think she took out about a dozen or more raiders before we reached the state line. Once we passed into Colorado, I noticed the raiders turning back for who knows what reason.
Anyway, we've stopped in a town, and we've noticed there are a lot of people here. Oddly enough, they don't seem to know anything about the Rapture. Everything seems normal here and, yet, somehow not.
