Forum Games and Roleplaying / You Are the Telekinetic

You were living a fairly normal life before you discovered your ability. At first it was by accident; knocking things off shelves, waking up hovering above your bed, opening doors you meant to walk through. At first you couldn't control it, but slowly the grasp of it has become familiar. Now you sit in the middle of your bed, legs crossed and eyes furrowed in concentration, staring at an apple. It sits there gleaming slightly in the light of the buzzing overhead fan. Trying again for the fifth time this week, you summon up every ounce of concentration and willpower and try to focus on the apple. At first, nothing. But then, that indescribable flexing sensation wells up and the fruit begins to rise. It hovers above the dark blue sheet, a little mental push and you begin to spin it like a top. Another push and it's swinging back and forth like a pendulum, still rotating. Concentrating on the angle and forces you stop the swinging and begin to orbit the apple around your head, eyes dreamily following the progress of your new satellite. Suddenly your head begins to swim, spots flare in front of your eyes and the apple lands with a soft thud on the hardwood floor. Softly your mother calls from the living room, asking if you are okay. Trying to regain your concentration you force yourself to remember your name and background.

I agree with Flying Dice here, we shouldn't cannibalize anything unless absolutely necessary if we plan on getting off the planet. While bringing the whole body to complete functionality would be nice we will probably have to transfer the core into a new, smaller body so maybe it would be a good idea to start planning possible designs.

Let's get a diagnostic on what it will take to bring the main power generators back online

Hokay, it may be a day or so before I get started, but don't worry.

I wished I had known this when I first started.

The Problem: Gee, what to do with all that stone lying around. I could dig out an area for a stockpile BUT THAT ONLY MAKES MORE STONE!

The Solution: Designate a 1x1 activity zone near your stockpiles or workshops and set it as a garbage dump. Then just use the dump designation (d, b, d) and your dorfs will pile all that stone onto a signle square.

Is it a problem that I don't use a tileset or anything?

I'll take 253 if that's okay.
