From the depths of your core, vibrations start, the vibrations intensify, causing your surface to split open in places, sometimes releasing great clouds of minerals, sometimes just opening huge chasms in the earth, what ever caused it, the planet will never be the same...
It will take a while for the planet to settle back into one form again, till then the sands shall be shifting.

The minerals ejected by the planetary quake have started to settle on the planets surface, and by some freak accident some weird sort of life form has begun to spawn.

This weird life form spreads (relatively) fast across the dune.

The towns are... ok... but you cant find ANYTHING in short notice.
There should be like three zoom levels  and fast travel equivelent.
Smallest map (largest amount of distance covered) - the old adventure map of yore, how i miss it, think of it as the Q map.
Medium map -  (medium amount of distance covered) - the adventure maps of NOW.
Largest map - ( The smallest amount of distance covered) -  The adventure maps which would show things like location of buildings in town and stuff.
