The whole military screen has mouse support actually. Anyting is easily clickable as if it was a windows interface and it works great. I love it.

*checks this*  Holy...!  Right-click even acts as page-down for your scrolling needs.
Wow. I need to take my hand off the keypad more often. Another unique thing I noticed about the new military interface is that the game doesn't pause when you open the squad menu. I just wish I had noticed this before the ambush instead of during it.

Yes but if you edited the key list to make space the back out button you ruin you ability to use the military menu since you press space to unpause and it back you out.

5. I know it's against popular demand, but please, assuming it works the same as before, leave in [item_thief]. Its biggest effect is counting exported goods as 'stolen'. This has the added effect of keeping your fortress's export wealth very low while still allowing trade, meaning you won't get waves of dozens upon dozens of migrants. Keeping a relatively low population and relying on breeding was a staple of the original mod's balance. Being flooded with kobolds makes it too easy, even as weak as they are.

If that is the case then limit the population cap in the init file and modify the breeding values to suit the mod. There are better ways to limit population than forcing the [item_thief] tag IMHO.

It seems that dead dorfs are not removed from the list.

Yep, best thing to do is to just rename them to dead. That way they show up on the list as dead and you know not to use them.

Has anyone edited the graphics_whatever.txt file yet for any of those graphics sets?

What is in there right now is not all that helpful.

No matter what I do I cant buy things. I can sell just fine but when I go to buy something he says "add more goods" even though I have enough money on hand. I even tried using store credit but he just wont sell things.

Dudes, you were asked to not bring up bugs for this release, remember? As in, he already knows about them and the only reason this realese was made is becouse we pestered him long enough?

No, we were asked not to use his bug reporter to report bugs. It is perfectly fine to discuss said bugs here so that those playing with the dwarf therapist know about the bugs and possible work around for them.

I only have one slight issue. Seems DT is reluctant to add the latest migrant to the list, but when a new migrant wave shows up, the one originally not there shows and the new last migrant of that wave doesn't show up on the list.

It also does not seem to allocate the skills sometimes. It shows that the skills are selected and passed to dwarf fortress but even though (for instance) the minor has the mining skill in df you have to deselect and reselect mining to get them to actually mine. Also, sometimes it looses connection with dwarf fortress all together.

All these seem to be fixed by restarting dwarf fortress and dwarf therapist. Much better now though than we were yesterday at this time :)

I am currently plugging away at the vanilla game but the lack of a manager program is really hurting my fortress.

Hope you can find the time soon chmod. Your work is the cornerstone to making dwarf fortress playable!

Actually i like the steady, little waves of migrants. You get stuff done much faster- Now if i`d only had the Dwarven rapist..

No fortress is complete without at least one rapist!

I didn't imply that, you inferred it...incorrectly, of course.

...mixing vehicles and infantry in a fps...mixing planes into fps...

Doesn't this happen in many many games though?

Timesplitters and Halo are two easy examples.

Not to the same scale as WWIIOnline. Although the game is defiantly not for everyone. Generally you either love it or hate it.

Recently I have been generating this exact problem. When ever a melee attack from a custom named dwarf scores a kill the custom name gets removed. I use dwarf therapist but even on the game where I never used dwarf therapist the problem persists.

When does it que up the immigration waves? I have a save about 1 hour before the wave comes but I still go over the population cap.
