so if I have warrior dwarves who i havent yet set their weapon settings yet so that they can get armor and wrestling experience first, will they try sparring with dwarves who have had their weapon preferences set and consequently suffer horrible injuries or death?

the wiki said that as of 39f, humans, elves, and goblins can siege you
and why would Toady take something like that out?  no offense but i just cant see him taking out the thing that gives the game a large portion of its entertainment value...in my opinion :)...and I have contact with all the races

ok so I've been making this awesome fortress and I have some pretty good archers trained and I have a special spirally passage made of bridges connected to levers over magma that I'm just itching to try out yet I have been getting no sieges whatsoever!  all I've been getting are ambushes and I'm wondering how to trigger sieges. I just recently learned that elves and humans can siege you now (very cool) and I want to know the best ways to trigger them.  Any ideas?

P.S. my population is just over 100 and that was a bit recent so I might just need to wait and does killing and taking all of the goods from the elves or humans make them want to gut me with a siege?

wow, i love all the different connections people came up with lol...but this is related to DF just because I was wondering if extremely motivated people in Drum Corp waste their time to play this game too

P.S.  the word "waste" = total sarcasm...I love this game :)

I don't think you have to worry about that as long as you have water flowing or just sitting in the channel

thnx, I figured a way around the problem, do design world with parameters, and I set the percentage of megabeasts dead required to stop world generation to "Ignore"

lol awesome.  sorry i didnt mention them.  dunno if you're in it or know any of their staff, but their pit instructor, Tony Nelson, is my pit instructor in high school at Mesquite
and yeah I saw their show, it was really cool for an open class drum corp

I generated a new world using the create new world now! option, not the design new world with parameters option and it only went to the year 200.
Is this a bug? cuz I thought that it's supposed to go to 1050...

I actually don't even like those stupid drum movies, or the dance ones...if you know what I mean, but hey..we're all different...good luck.
:( darn kinda expected a lot of blank responses but just so you know, they actually aren't movies, they drill shows performed on football fields that can drown everything out when you're actually there
