Post your works of art if you use it - When they pass out from it, you can do ANYTHING to them...
except make babies with them. due to you need to be close to either married or pets that been around for 2 1/2 seasons in fort mode together to do that.

mine is grabbing the poor sap and Punching them with my "wambler PUNCH!" sadly the thing weighs seven or more tons and will drop a average dwarf speed to 99 doing so but boy that thing sure can red a yellow a head and red a spine.

testing out the adventurer swap addon for DFfusion by far allows me to dig deeper into the subject than never before.
I found out that.
One you can get companions to get companions of their own and those second rank ones will follow "you".
Two you can give items to companions and other folks as well.
Three if you travel out of your swap body you can swap back to the body again if you remember the first name of the creature.... if the creature has one(you don't get warp to a different area when you travel again).
Four luring enemies to you using your fastest member of your band from is way better than walking out to the Travel safe zone after wiping out the area.
Five always before testing if cashing in a quest using "the fastest member of your band" to mark where every one is or you end up walking back finding out you Can't cash it and lost in the middle of night searching where every one gone to.
Six don't swap back several screens away from your original body the game will crash.

seven punching a lady won't lead to every one trying to kill you but will lead to said lady asking you to "prepare to die" then Cancel half way into doing so I think it's the MISS that kills all ability for anyone to be still pissed at each other if they are from the same civ.

They do. Had a few troll artifacts.

Also would be very cool to change adventurer "permanently" (i.e. with travelling and quests...) but i think it depends on history entries and thats an uncharted territory.

Edit 3: also caves make a very good houses, till some demon comes and kicks you out. Killed 3 adventurers (+6 henchmen) already.
darn thanks for the info on that I notice that you can input any number and become a unknown creature which save me from death during a bogeyman rush... sadly I was a child and a buzzard and both pretty got wrecked during the attacks.
oh I wonder is there a away to get a Travel anywhere? I'm getting sick of walking thirty miles away from a non-hostile fort I got a quest from.

that and it seems missing a aim attack doesn't provoke folks or punching them... or was this lady just have a enough tolerance for stupid people.

edit: oh snap I just got an idea! you can use companions as pack mules now!

edit: if your companions have companions those second tier companions will follow you as well.
I don't know if they will 'T'ravel yet but one could move entire town doing this.

darius new DfFusion has made playing adventure mode better now when you can swap to random people and back.
Combine this with the companions and now we can equip them with loot and use them for scouting.
Still one would have fun body swapping to a king and having him off his queen and get banished from his kingdom leading to a uproar.

I know that, as you rely on that to update the software. I'm just waiting for the update so that I can try out the new version (I can't play Dwarf Fortress without this).
if it helps try the new version of Dffusion he has a adventurer swapper which makes giving items to companions not a dream. Oh that and hopefully I could see if this works on wild animals.

Bumping because added adventurer swapper. Usage: tools->Change Adventurer, type in number you want to change in, do stuff, press enter to get back. Used for: stealing items from unsuspecting npc, starting chaos (attack npc with npc) and most importantly arming your friends.

oh god wait number? meh time to EXPLOIT!
dang I found out that walking a good mile away from the main character could lead to a crash.
good news is now we can control our companions, and equip them properly which means community adventure mode can be done with out killing or retiring a adventurer.


edit: there a proven way to stay the character you swap to when you travel. you have to boot up fusion again and type the name of the character again.

edit: oh don't sleep if you want to keep your character... unless you want to hike back to the last area and swap back.

Man I wonder if there a T'ravel Anywhere utility. I can't get use to having to walk out of a 10 zlevel castle to start a quest. It's Insane.

I also notice that friendly bronze colossi in older versions end up going kill happy in the new one.
which sucks now with my .17 bronze due to I can never retire with out adding a huge bounty on my head.

To be honest I totally forgot. If child is just a profession I could try making it changeable, not sure if it would crash DF or not
Perhaps try modifying Size and Age at the same time, so you can change someone's age, and if they go below their creature's child raw, then it swapps their proffession too?
well that works for children over the age of 2 but when dealing with babies you can't remove the age requirements and expect them to class as a working peasant, having a Profession changer also removes the horror of having to deal with Nobles which can only be removed if they end up pissing off their civ. Which in a form of hard knocks means I can't recruit same civ nobles with out having him going Resident evil 4 with the whole town.

so let me get this straight night creatures are just above ground randomgen creatures which simply has the ability to snatch any one for a bride/groom and all this is just Genned so no fun stuff like willingly letting adventurer to be hitch off to a 'over power night ghoul' so you could gain perks of the race and wreck the country side? dang.

Honestly, can anyone tell me why my aimed strikes are so ineffective?  As long as I just bash into creatures like the old versions, I can slay things easily, but the aimed strike menu just gives me a lot of tricky/solid strikes that consistently miss...
Oh my I ended up having 2 fights end up being my dump bronze had to PUSH foes over to do damage because he can't Aim for their heads.
Well when you think on it that makes sense with the fact it's like trying to swat a fly with a pinky.

dang I some how lost the ability to make human statues or bear barrels now or blood axes god it sucks when you can't shame blood into a axe and throw it at someone.

so it's controlled by vampire venom/syndromes? I mean that what happen in the end of the first movie bella had her venom suck out by Edward,Edmund so she can convert 3 books later.
Series was a great romance comedy.

same here I wouldn't have gotten the first adventurer child born without Runesmith.
sadly with .17 out I sense tons of members wanting this to be updated,
and by jovi this might take a couple of pages.
Patience is indeed a virtue my evil little body swapping, baby snatching Necromancer....

baby snatching? I never got the chance to snatch babies from families due to the baby/noble/child profession keeps them from joining.
though sensing the lack of patience coming with the recent ADV. update and the huge uproar version '.16' had.... didn't see why though.

to be honest I'm shock .10 regions work in .17 I'm appalled that the need to walk out of mountain homes/FORTS/LAIRS (above ground) before you can fast Travel SUCKS DWARVEN BEARDS.

Pss. body snatching, baby making, got a whole lot harder now with the lack of fast travel into Civ cities hovels yes cities no.
How can you make or snatch babies anyway? I WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET WAYS OF RUNESMITH GODDAMNIT!
making is in my sig "adventure in baby making"(which is from now a stupidly hard task now with the annoying 6 minute hike out of the town first), snatching can be only done if sizeak or Darius or any one with a good DFhack skill add the ability to over ride characters saying no to you in adventure mode. I found out back in 40d with darius friendship enhancer that s'T'eal has a side affect of removing a profession on the stolen creature from being force to become a Miner. This allows me back then to use that to bypass the child/baby restrictions and recruit them (only way to not wait seven to 8 years for the bugger to grow up). so yea being a child is a profession. Carrying them on the other hand might be on the caged dwarf = carry dwarf and manipulating that a dozy. I started with attempts of snatching companions and folks before accidentally finding out on Body Swapping.

though now I wonder Sizeak any luck with the Body swap save file I gave you?
