I removed anything that WASN'T sand from my soil raws. I also use the diagonal water pressure removal trick. That's it unless you consider making a world gen for 95 volcanism with 20 volcanoes cheating.

I think Sizik hit it. After some additional barrels of booze came into existence they drank booze. This is good news as humans are my 2nd favorite trade partners.

both of you, alas, are incorrect. they booze IS in a booze stockpile, and it's a normal stockpile at that. The problem as deterred somewhat but they are still marching the path for no reason. The problem seems to be that they are choosing water over untasked booze, at least i THINK it's untasked. Does a TSK appear on booze when it has someone heading over to drink it?

So, my fort is going along rather nice, the humans come bringing LOADS of booze which I buy. No problems, then recently I've started to notice a lemming march down to the brook for water, when OVER 100 units of untasked booze are perfectly accessible 10 feet away. whats up?

. Never thought I'd say it, the problem is that my fort was built on a plateau and I'm building a double thick wall all the way around the main stairs PLUS an alunite courtyard. my craftdwarves have apparently used all the alunite i had found...*sigh*
