My idea was to simply have one legendary warrior a generation, selected from your population and assigned lavish quarters as the Avatar of Armok, and defender of the fortress, a great leader for the lowly peons to rally around when the enemy hordes break down the doors of the mountainhome. The Danger room is his connection to armok, it is responsible for his apotheosis.

Man, I can't wait until you can move segments of map with dwarf power, then you could carve the vehicle out in your quarry, then move it to the launch platform.

Yeah, in a game known for it's fan base building insane, impenetrable fortresses that only fall because someone accidentally toggled the wrong unlabeled lever and collapsed the entire mountain on the invaders, creating a force of insanely powerful warriors seems... lackluster and not worth the arguments over. In my opinion. if you like them, use them, if you'd rather not, that's fine too, just enjoy the game :D

Post pictures of the offending tunnels and we can do a lot more. just giving us your word that it's ok isn't enough, we need to know the extenuating circumstances.

Idea: Train all dwarves in boozery and farming, then let them farm the prepared plot in the cell, and make their own food and booze, by the end of their stay the should be pretty ok at all of that, and the work should keep their spirits up.

I've never used one before, but I am not against them, military training seems to be... buggy at best. If i'm going to truck with a military I'm going to use what works, as soon as they can train skills up on their own in less than a millennia, I'm game. until then, I'm ok with danger rooms.
