General Discussion / Re: Things that made you sad today thread.

I chickened out about revealing my plans on fasting to the rest of my family today, understanding they are not. Already told my brother and my mother, all I got was insults from her and stupidity from him. So I just used the excuse that I wasn't hungry, I doubt it will work a second day. Also they're going to want an explanation and I really don't feel like trying to explain my actions to them. Why can't anything ever go smoothly for me...

Did you say anything to your wife about the dreams before all of this started happening? Your wife could just be having some fun with you, thats my guess at least.

If I didn't pull them apart they would have kept going at it. Its cheaper/easier to treat any wounds I would get then the ones they inflict on each other. Their last fight costed several hundred dollars... I've thought about using a bucket of water but it seems less practical than pouring vodka on their snouts. I'm out of vodka at the moment so my back up plan is to put some ammonia on a cloth and stick it in front of their noses, not sure how well that will work though. I'm not to comfortable messing with that stuff, but hell, they stick it in our beef so why not.

I had the pleasure of waking up to dogs fighting this morning. Since the owners are too incompetent to break them up themselves I decided to help them out. Went out there and poured my half bottle of Vodka on both their heads, they let go of each other pretty quick lol. The dog I restrained however decided to bite me, lucky for me it figured out who I was before it broke my skin. Still hurts like hell and its probably going to bruise badly.

Zombies freeze right? Well I would just get my family together, load up our guns, ammo, and MREs and keep heading north until its too cold for the undead. Alternatively, we could just take over Mackinac Island, I bet it would make a good stronghold.

I got to sheol and nearly beat it the first time around, but alas dr fetus doesn't work so well against the boss there. Also can you still unlock the D6? I beat "It lives!" twice and nothin but a hatch down to sheol.

I think you need to clear sheol to get it now, going by what the achievement for the dice says anyways.

Oh yeah, I forgot to post this picture from my Isaac playthrough.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I found it amusing how big I got lol. It made dodging hard, I'm not very good at it anyways. It all worked out in the end thanks to massive firepower though 8).

Welp, I managed to clear it with all the characters except Blue Baby. I only need to get no damage in the caves and the depths and I'll have golden god. I usually ignore achievements but I think I'll make an exception this time.

Unless the game patched when I wasn't looking or I just got lucky, you can avoid the slowdown issue during the final boss fight by turning mute on and music off before you enter the boss room. Figured I would just throw that out there.

EDIT: Oh yeah forgot to mention, beat it with Maggy first, then Judas. Four more to go~ I'm think I'll clear it with Isaac next.

I would avoid getting the ouji board Brimstone power up if you have the laser eye, it seems to take away your ability to shoot. Ruined a really good playthrough...

That's odd.. I'm already using the latest Aposos version, downloaded again just in case and still crash when I try to build anything.
Yh construction dosnt seem to work for me either (using windows) hopefully gets sorted out soon coz i wanna build a safehouse away from the town. But still fun at the moment anyway just running around.

I had the same problem and decided to do this rather than wait for the fix.

Well, one thing that works well for me is taking a single Bear Trap with me where ever I go. Just drop it in front of whatever trying to kill you then poke it to death while it can't move. For extra fun pick up the trap after they set it off and reset it in front if them again before they can move. The whole thing seems kind of unbalanced, actually.

Wow, I'm having terrible luck, or should I say my lab safehouse is. In the span of one day I got attacked by two Triffid Queens turning half of it into dirt and trees and then a thunder storm happens and blows up one of the few metal walls I have left. I go to check the damage and lightning strikes the wall right near my stockpile of burnable objects setting fire to half my food stockpile, a large chunk of whats left of the bedroom wall, some of the recently create forest, and the stack of two by fours I've been making to fix the place up. I'm glad I prepared for putting out fires or it would have been a lot worse. Installed Thermal Dissapation and Air Filtration System awhile back and a Fire Extinguisher was one of the first things I put in there. The Air Filtration thing didn't protect me from smoke like I thought it would but everything else went as planned.

It was pretty fun... Rebuilding isn't going to be though, assuming I even bother. I may just move into the actual lab and set up a bunch of shotgun traps to make sure nothing sneaks up on me.
