Hey man, Canada will protect you guys if you give up your military.  Plus you could always hire mercenaries in a pinch.

Heh, Mercs are a bad idea. They are okay for support if you're winning and in control but when it benefits them they will screw you.

 @MaximumZero

Thats funny, I actually do feel better after a good fight lol. Its always confused me. I would say that I've watched Fight Club to many times but I've been like that since I was little kid.

Don't give up, Grimshot. :3

I may not be good with words or comforting or even socializing, but when you only have one life, failure is not an option, nor a "reward". Don't be ashamed. Giving up is shameful, but you redeem yourself by going forward. Don't dwell on past problems.

Sorry that that wasn't exactly the most confidence-inspiring speech.

Thanks, I appreciate the support :).

I used to think I could understand things, that there was hope, a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm not so sure anymore.

This might be the second time I've told anyone this, and I'm telling it to the internet. I've sunk that low.

I've been actively considering suicide for the last four or five years. Methods, equipment, all that jazz. Whether to leave a note or not. Whether to get a will beforehand or not. If there is anything thats actually worth it to do anything for.

I'm so lost.

Well, I'll tell you this. I've also given consideration to killing myself, both when depressed and even when I managed get out of my depression. You know what made me finally decide that it was a bad idea? Even if I completely fucked up everything in my life I could still make someone elses better. If you want a reason to live I would suggest you find people that really need some help and give it to them.

I figured I would post two pictures of a stray cat we recently took in as a pet. The poor cat was mostly bones and fleas when it first showed up in our yard. She is doing pretty good now though :).

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I left naming her up to my Grandmother and she named her Mable... Next cat I'm going to name lol. Anyone happen to know what breed of cat this is?

General Discussion / Re: Weird dreams you've had

You can analyze any dreams I post if you want. I don't think I have very many complex ones other than the first I posted though. I'll have to see if I can remember any that are good enough to post.

Masks traditionally symbolize deceit or falsehood. If you were wearing the mask, you'd probably be struggling with your own deceit but since other people are you view them as the deceitful ones.

Labyrinths are just mazes. A lot of people use mazes to symbolize your entering your subconscious, this is because people doing trancework often focus on maze-like depictions. You could ascribe it to that, but personally I tend to think that mazes simply symbolize someone who's lost or trying to find their way in or out of a situation.

Wolves tend to symbolize courage and valor and all that noble crap, but since the people wearing wolf masks in your dream sound predatory I'm going to go out on a limb and say that courage isn't part of it.

So, if we put that all together: You subconsciously feel that many people, perhaps society as a whole, is predatory and deceitful. You may be at a time in your life where you are trying to escape all the superficiality of the modern world or perhaps understand it and become a part of it (depending on if you were working your way into or out of the maze). The fact that you found it hard to think because of the noise they were making means that the deceit is obfuscating, you're being prevented from understanding something or someone because of the inherent deceit found in the situation.
When you got angry and shouted "Enough" it might show that you're tired of such deceitfulness, it could also just have been that you wanted to get out of the dream. Next time you become aware of your being asleep mid-dream, I recommend not waking up right away. I hear it can be fun...

Thats pretty cool, thanks  :D. I had this dream way back when I was in elementary school. It could have been around the time I was trying to distance myself from people and suppress/eliminate my emotions. My view on people was negative to put it simply and I viewed emotions as a weakness that I couldn't afford to keep around.

I have weird dreams all the time. To the point where Dreamworking and Dream Interpretation (both, somehow) have become very real hobbies of mine. So...if you want me to analyze your dream or whatever, I'm down for it :P

My most recent strange dream that I'm actually willing to talk about with others would have to be...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Naturally the dream has me come off as a creepy rapist, but...I don't think that's the actual message my subconscious was projecting to myself. If there was a message.

You can see why I stopped keeping a dream journal a while back because the last thing I wanted was for someone close to me to read one of the entries though.

You can analyze any dreams I post if you want. I don't think I have very many complex ones other than the first I posted though. I'll have to see if I can remember any that are good enough to post.

I had a dream once where I was in a maze like structure. Inside of it there was all these people with animal masks on, mostly wolf masks I think. They made a bunch of noise from running around and growling/breathing/snarling to the point of making it hard to think. I wandered around trying to find my way out until one ran by me and snarled in my face. I then woke up. It was one of those sit straight up covered in sweat type of things. Well I went back to sleep eventually and then had the same dream lol. This time however I realized part way in that I was dreaming again and became enraged. I screamed "ENOUGH!" and woke up again. That was the last time I had that one :D.

I wish I was more into psychology, that would probably be a fun dream to interpret. If I had to make a guess though I would say it probably had something to do with social anxiety.

Don't hurt your heart too much. It'll get stronger with time, but doing too much too fast can actually harm it.

Maybe you're right, I push myself a little too hard sometimes. I feel fine today though and actually slept pretty good :).

I managed to walk for three hours straight today, my goal is four hours. thats not to bad for a 240 pound guy lol, but my heart and feet hurt like hell. I'll keep it up for a few days then go up to four hours. Also, in other news, I managed to switch to cold showers today. That should toughen me up a little.
