Other Games / Re: Cataclysm: A Zombie-Survival Roguelike
« on: October 25, 2011, 02:52:12 pm »
I just downloaded this recently, its pretty fun. I noticed something a little broken though. Necromancer zombies have such low accuracy that you can use them to train dodge. I lured one into my lair and trained my dodge from 3 to 10. I only got hit once and that was because I decided to try to butcher something while it was attacking me. I did it again with a different one after I aquired more XP and went from 10 to 14 dodge without taking a hit.

Well, back to the game. I just decapitated a Hulk with a hatchet and found a bunch of dead soldiers. I think this is going to be a good run.

EDIT: Now I have 28 dodge, full military gear, tons of meds, a .45 submachine gun loaded up with mods, and plenty of food/water. All I need now is a bunch of traps and some construction skill and I'll be king of zombie town. Hopefully I can find a beginner book on construction on my next raid into the surrounding neighborhoods.

I think I'm drifting back into crazy hermit territory again. Strange dreams, apathy toward anything outside of my main interests, and staying inside my room as often as I can probably isn't a sign of good mental health.

Eh, I liked Requiem as its own game but not so much as a Penumbra game. I'm still going to hold out hope for a real sequel, I think I would even settle for a prequel. There's still a lot of untapped potential there in my opinion.

I just played through the Penumbra series and enjoyed it quite a bit overall. I found out though that they don't plan to make the last game that would wrap everything up :(.

I've a bad case of people rage today. Seriously, I can't seem to do anything involving other people without them either stressing me out or pissing me off. I ask a question, they won't give me a direct answer. I ask for something and they besiege me with their damn opinions when they don't even know what they are talking about. I can't tell if its just stupidity or some sort of social bullshit I just don't partake in but it needs to stop >:(.

I just made a fantastic dish (using pan frying) consisting of thinly sliced steak, diced onions, snow pea pods, mini bella mushrooms and a sauce I created from combining Huy Fong sriracha sauce and soy sauce. My only regret is that I don't have more people I can force to eat it :D. I should probably try recording my recipes sometime... Oh yeah, turns out I had some snow pea pods left over, I love raw snow pea pods so I ate them on the spot lol.

I think I may have to buy a wok sometime and try cooking with that. It can't be that hard.

I spend to much time thinking of useless things rather than learning. :( I don't know if I'm just lazy or easily distracted, its probably both. Ok, no more contemplation or reading random crap, only math from now till bedtime. I shall hammer this knowledge into my brain until I gain a complete understanding of it >_<. I probably have a lot of hammering to do >:(...

I lost track of time and its almost 5 AM now, I hate when I do that... Now my schedule is all screwed up :(.

Also, the forums not working right has been pissing me off. I guess that probably goes in the rage thread though, but bleh, I'm already here.

Darn, if I had only held out one more day then I could have been a Bard of Wrath :'(. Oh well, Bard of Water isn't too bad considering I fall under a aquatic sign and like rain.

I suppose I should go if I can keep it off the record. I hope it isn't expensive and time consuming.

-EDIT-

Well, I talked to my father and he said he would help me with the bill. I'm actually having a lot of anxiety over this now. It will probably not be so bad once I find a psychologist and get the details worked out. I hope so at least...
