It's a good thing, trust me. It gives them boosts to their stats, and it gives them a good chance of avoiding each other's blows. Don't worry too much.

Interseting - I had the same problem with an absurdly fast wagon, but I never touched the raws in the slightest.

Well, I currently haven't had anybody attack me, and I'll probably replace it with a bastilla once I get a legendary siege operator. My military can handle anything short of a siege anyway.

My founding metalsmith got a mood. I tried the 'extra items by forbidding' trick, but the other dwarves just hauled the stuff away. I managed to get...an Iron boot. Decorated with wood, and of course, it menaced with spikes of iron. Hopefully one of my Champions will wear it and kick his enemies to death with it.

I tend to have those not-quite-dreams where you think about stuff in a dream-like manner but are fully aware of what you're thinking. One of my favourites was having a goblin set on fire by a hovering whale covered in pustules.

Because growing a crop for 3-4 months and getting 2-3 plants out of it - a loss, considering how often dwarves eat - is not fun, Fun or any other type of enjoyable-ness. Losing may be fun, but not losing because your crops don't feed you. I don't think getting 20+ plants out of one seed is wise, but increasing the amount you get (say, on average, 6-7 plants) means people won't lose simply because they didn't start growing quick enough.

Yeah, french clowns are puny. The calamari clowns and the fire-jugglers are the actually dangerous ones. Don't let the ringleader out. Try linking the cage up to a lever and releasing him into the path of a bastilla.

My Mason got a mood and shot straight up to Legendary Mason for making...a Bauxite Grate, with menacing mule leather spikes (which I slaughtered a mule for, obviously). On the upside, he has stupidly high skill now.

When elves pack their animals, they pack cloth first, then food, then wood, etc. The better the trading, the more stuff they bring but they bring more cloth and end up leaving out the other stuff you care about.

Now, to balance out the longer grow times, you probably should increase the yields (if that's possible). Realistic farming is an often suggested thing, look at the 'Improved Farming' thread in Suggestions.
