Uhm, the server list is the list of servers where you join a game, and I know you know what it is because you just specifically mentioned joining a game...

In the server list, when you select a server, if you don'thave the map you get the option to download it in the bottom left.

I suppose when I host I don't lag with 8 players, but when everybody is screaming at me about stupid bullshit it puts me off quite a bit.

When you're at the server list, choose the 'only mods I have' and then click on servers with maps you don't have. In the bottom left you get the option to download them. If oyu do that enough then you'll eventually have the most common maps

Just don't download more than like 6 at a time or else the lobby might crash

There's also a website to download maps but I dunno what it is, probably at the spring website

Also, I was about to try hosting, and then somebody told me to turn on relay host (whatever the fuck that is) but that essentially makes it so that the game lobby never appears, so what's the point?

You guys play against AI?

I wouldn't mind playing some co-op against a bunch of AI =)

In fact I might prefer it to playing against humans, but that's just me.
