Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are a single VA, too, IIRC.

My NPC commie traitor with the mutant power: invisibility was hiding in a broom closet, until one of the PCs started poking around with a broom handle (okay, mop, actually).  I took his arm off with my laser and ran away, but they followed my blood trail to a catwalk leading to one of the sector's roof struts with no way down.

Unfortunately, they wanted to capture me alive.  Even less fortunately, but somewhat more hilariously, they shot me with the experimental R&D electrostatic capture field...while I was standing right next to the four pounds of plastic explosives that one of the team had secretly planted a couple minutes earlier to fulfill her secret society's objectives.

Mist of blood and collapsing roof.

(Okay, yeah, I was the GM, but it still counts!)

I'm using my (registered, I swear) mutant power to detect you are talking about...
PARANOIA!
(Which is one of the best games I've played, if only more people played online)

You win a cookie!

I don't like playing Paranoia online, because it's not obvious when things are happening that you're not privy to.  It's fun when you can't figure out what all those passed notes are about until suddenly, at the end of the mission, the master-stroke comes down.  It's less fun when you're sitting there wondering if everyone else is just idle.  Also, seeing people passing notes all over the place really does build a good vibe of distrust, of nervousness, one might even say of paranoia.

Not quite the same.  Just because you can't EXPLAIN it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  There was evidence all over the place; Twilight just didn't want to look outside her worldview at all.  The message that kids would pick up on is "Keep an open mind, and don't dismiss things that are actually happening out of hand just because they don't mesh with your preconceptions".

But now we're getting that argument in my thread, and seriously, it really is beat to death.  So I probably shouldn't go there.  :X

What the fuck, now Russian bloggers are coming by and saying "thank you for providing information on the Dedekind-Macneille completion in your shonen-ai fanfic!  You are clearly a legitimate source of math-porn <3"

Not literally.  But there's been two people in the past two days who are like "Oooh, you've compiled so much information here..."

WHYYYYY

Please, please be a scam T_T  I am so fucking confused.

Wait, shonen-ai with math?  Where...where can I find this?

Does IPv6 increase the number of ports?

FOR !!SCIENCE!!

On a slightly related note, anyone else bothered by some of the bullshit that seems to creep into the show? Like genuinely psychic Pinkie, Fluttershy using aroma therapy, etc?

Oh, the whole psychic thing plus THE MAGIC OF FAITH AND BELIEF has been hashed over waaaaaaaaaay to death on the internet already.  Pinkie was always a little 'special' though.  I mean hell, she throws a successful surprise party for Twilight the instant she first sees her (successful for everyone but Twilight, but hey).

You're also dealing with a pegasus unicorn that raises the sun and moon, a factory that makes clouds and rainbows, a pegasus that can break the sound barrier, quite a few critters that can be defeated by music, poison plants that apparently have sentient magic, and any of a thousand other things.

Yeah Pinkie is a little bit OP, but eh, giving her a superpower isn't entirely out of line.  I mean, basically everyone on the main team except for Applejack and /maybe/ Rarity are already god tier, why not give poor earth pony Pinkie something awesome?  She kinda needs it to keep up, and with the mass quantity of weird stuff she knows that she doesn't have any right to, I figure that her weird psychic twitches can be used to explain an awful lot.

A really smart girl asked if she could borrow my lecture notes for a math class, because apparently mine are really clear >w<  I'm super-happy about that.

I always sucked at note taking.  I could never absorb what the teacher was saying and keep up writing at the same time.  I eventually found being super-involved in class dialogue to be more effective for retaining & comprehending, and gave up on notes altogether.  Obviously doesn't work for all subjects.  I rocked philosophy courses.  Struggled with math.

They make pens that are audio recorders, now.  Take sparse notes, then it lets you go back and check to see what the prof was saying at the exact moment that you wrote each thing.

Yumi got a pay rise and a bonus :D
For the first time in quite a while we can be sure that we'll actually be able to eat :3

Whew...I'm sure that's a huge weight off your shoulders, and it's a load off all our minds too!

My co-project-leader and other head programmer on my remake project turns out to work, like, a thousand feet away from where I do.  I didn't know he even lived in the same state.

I think one problem here is that very few of us knew, going in, that network issues could be things that exist.

Yes, they are based on seahorses, and the sea pony song was the point where that series jumped the shark.

And wars, oh yes there were wars.  I'll have to dig up some links.

Yeah, it turns out that FIM is a gateway drug.  You end up looking up other pony series.

Bone Head killed me. The quest is labeled as HARD, but I thought nothing of it. I know the layout of the area and I figured I could snipe him from a distance. Turns out, I could. Also turns out that my guns could barely hurt him. Again, it turns out that his gun destroys my shields with around three hits.

Borderlands.

Bone Head is the hardest boss in the game.  He's seriously OP for his level, and you haven't had time to get ridiculously powerful sniper rifles or 4x storm SMGs yet.

Going to see if I can whack my wireless router with a wrench and get that port opened...

Give me 'til Saturday, or maybe even Sunday at latest?  I'll try to get it done before that if I can.  I'm sorry for the holdup, but it's a 'fix this or probably have to drop out of the league' thing for me, which is really lame.  Especially considering that I've successfully played online before, just not against my current opponent.  Drat.

I had that problem, and just had my opponent host the game. Of course, eventually, you and I will play a game against each other, and then the problem won't be avoidable anymore...

That is exactly what is happening to me and my opponent, until I fix my network.  Neither of us can successfully host!

Oh, Commander Keen was great.

Damn dopefish...

I enjoyed it a lot!

And yet...it actually wasn't very good at all by modern standards.  :O  The controls were awful!  It was a creative game, which was great, and I loved the hell out of it, but it was one of those 'not much to compare it with' things.  And hard just for the sake of being hard, it seemed like, sometimes.
