I made a mod of your 16x16 tileset for my tileset, this is the v2.1 of those changes:
Changes:
Uppercase letters: height +2px.
Lowercase letters: height +2px & width -2px.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You can clearly see the lowercase changes between the normal lowercases and the accented lowercases (v2):

I like these slightly heigher lowercase letters :) I didn't make the uppercase letters higher because of the accented versions of "A" and "E", and because of "Q". Perhaps I will look into revising the original tilesets...

Bis, would you mind if I remade this for a 20x20 tileset? Here's what I have so far:
...

Do you per chance have non-graphical versions of the symbols you remade into graphics?

I think that downscaling the antialiased symbols makes them look very blurry...
I should probably create a 20x20 version myself, because I created most symbols using Photoshop paths (My monitor's resolution is 1920x1200, thus a 20x20 tileset would result in a 96x60 grid, could be fun... 16x16 is too tiny for me)
However, I don't have non-graphical symbols of the graphical tiles :(

Possible the nicest tileset I've seen, might have to switch from guybrush to this when .31 supports transparency. My only concern is what some of the names look like as you have graphics for lots of the tiles.

Thanks :) The graphical tiles should not interfere with text at all, as I retained the characters with accents instead of replacing them by graphical tiles as other tilesets do ;)

This would be my new tileset if I wasn't so used to Mike Mayday's graphical tileset. Would there be a way to use this anti-aliased font with Mike Mayday's graphics?

You would have to cut the other symbols from Mike Mayday's graphical tileset (get rid of the pink background) and paste them into my tileset, scaling them to 24x24.

If you want to use 16x16 symbols, you would have to scale my tileset first. However, the result is suboptimal in this case.

Any one else unable to export map gen information with [P] while using this tileset? If I attempt to export the information while in Legends mode the screen quickly flashes, then does nothing.

I can still export a detailed topographical map from the [D] menu however.

[p] works for me. It creates 3 .txt files in the DF folder (world_gen_param,  world_history, world_sites_and_pops) and a .bmp file with the map. Doesn't show any message box, however, when the export is finished.

EDIT: No, even better than that - the download didn't work properly, and it has nothing to do with the awesome tileset.

Also, props on the cool colour scheme you made.

Thanks :) But I did't make the color scheme, it can be found on the wiki: http://dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Color_schemes  ;D

While I've probably made a mistake, I'm getting solid colour blocks instead of text or graphics. Is this supposed to go on top of another tileset or something?

Make sure your version of DF is 40d16 (it should also work with some slightly older 40d?? versions, though). It won't work with 40d.
Copy Bisasam_24x24.png to your data/art folder and edit your init.txt to use this png for windowed/fullscreen (non-)graphics mode:
Code: [Select]
[FONT:Bisasam_24x24.png]
[FULLFONT:Bisasam_24x24.png]
[GRAPHICS_FONT:Bisasam_24x24.png]
[GRAPHICS_FULLFONT:Bisasam_24x24.png]

If it doesn't work, your video card driver may be the problem if can't handle non-power-of-2 textures.

You can't use this tileset at all if you have a resolution under 1920 wide.
(Or does d16 eliminate the 80-tile wide requirement?  I don't recall...)
Probably want to put that up there somewhere if not.

I tried some lower resolutions, and it seems that 40d16 tries indeed to display 80 tiles horizontally, i.e., the tiles are scaled down, which may or may not look ugly ;)
My display has a native res. of 1920x1200 and 16x16 tilesets are a little small for me. 24x24 fits this resolution perfectly (80x50 grid size).

DF Modding / Antialiased tileset for 40d16+ (revisited)
« on: January 01, 2010, 10:08:13 am »
Hi,

due to the lack of large square tilesets, I created my own 24x24 antialiased translucent tileset :).
It is based on the Terminus24 24x32 tileset. However, I have redrawn almost all tiles, and designed the square font from scratch...
The tileset tries to preserve as much of the original ASCII tileset feeling as possible, so not too many "graphical" symbols to be found in there ;)

It is available here: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Tileset_repository#Bisasam
(Requires DF 40d16+ due to transparency. When the merge is completed, it should also work with 0.31.x)

There is also a 16x16 version available here: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Tileset_repository#Bisasam_2

Update:

I've made a 20x20 version: http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/Tileset_repository#Bisasam
It comes in two flavors; first the graphical one (like the 24x24 and 16x16 versions):

And, second, a new ASCII version which replaces the graphical tiles by ASCII ones:
