Got a printed t-shirt for my cousin as a christmas gift, ordered it from redbubble. It was a bit late but it finally arrived, quality of the shirt is pretty ok, should fit him nicely. The print itself tho, now that I look at it up close seems to be a lazy screengrab or something and is incredibly low res. Isn't an issue when you're several meters away but is kinda obvious when you're standing next to it.

Goddamn it, if I had know it'd be like this I'd made the damn thing myself, hell it would've come out better and cheaper :V

Righto, due to some recent conversations and thinking I've been doing I figured it was time to kick this whole art thing into a higher gear. Part of that kicking would be having a more consistent output, as well as pushing my comfort zone as well as skills further out.

With that in mind, here's this thread thing (I know there's atleast one more of mine but that's rather ancient at this point and I don't feel like dredging it up from the depths), mostly to keep me beholden to some sort of loose posting schedule (wether it be studies, practice or finished pieces) as an added layer against sliding back into laziness. Of course, comments, critiques and requests are more than welcome.

To start it off, here's some recent sketches and similar, with more to come on a daily basis I guess.

The next couple of months will probably be focused on perspective excercises and some minor series of works (starting with just doing a bunch of aircraft of various sorts) and afterwards I'll see what'll come next.

Kingdom Two Crowns came out, really wanna get it, so I check the store page, 20€, cool, not too expensive for a wonderful little game like that. But then I notice there's a bundle with Two Crowns, the OST and the previous two versions, and since I have both of them it's offered at a discount which comes out cheaper than just buying the game itself would (about 2€ cheaper, but still), so I figure, what the hey and add it to the cart. Proceed to checkout and I'm greeted with a 32€ price all of a sudden, because, for whatever reason Kingdom New Lands is in the bundle cart for me, despite having it not only in my library but actually installed right now.

Can't really remove it from the cart without removing the whole bundle it seems, and since it's not being bought as a gift I doubt the extra key would be even useable :V

I hadn't even realise it was her until someone pointed it out, tho I guess she's in those years where growth is sudden, looks way older than in the series, the hair didn't help either xD

Anyways, in other, movie related happies, check this one out, it's pretty damn crazy looking.

Pfft, try for a Swans live performance in a relatively small space. Not even earplugs will save you from tinnitus :V

Well, having a grenade shot at you isn't really conducive to calm and collected thinking trough of a stiuation. It was probably a reflex, hell, if the situation was confusing enough they might've not even realised what it was until it was too late.

Eh, it's still effectively infinite damage since in most cases the only thing slowing their murder rate is boss invul phases (which is a cheap, lazy fix to a problem GGG themselves made).

Anyways, patch notes out, it's a fucking bloodbath. Statsticks have been gutted, halved possible roll values, some uniques got shat on (rip quill rain), molten strike got a bit of a hit, as did totem hierophant.

Meanwhile, poets pen still untouched, if anything, it got easier to get since there's another div card set for it.

Still have no idea what I'll be playing tho, might give summoners another try, but I barely got trough the story last time I tried it, was thinking arc totems, and while still strong I'm not sure I'd be willing to faff about min-maxing them properly. Or I might just go back to a trapper, last attemt was kinda cut short due to rl stuff, it's a fun enough starter.

Had an almost perfect run with my least favourite class, almost managed to kill the past even :C

It started off super shittily and I bought the banner for no particular reason, as it turned out it made the run amazing. Along the way I picked up the super space turtle and the pig, as well as the charmed bow, all of which benefit from the banner buff. But then it got better, I got the science gun, which made the pig fire pretty powerful shots, then I got the pink guon stone which further buffed the charm bow and the angry bullets which meant I could charm two enemies with a single shot at times. The best part tho was getting the yellow chamber (I actually unlocked it this very run and it dropped shortly afterwards) which made the space turtle super strong and scary, my pig died along the way tho which kinda sucked, but what that did was make sure that the baby good mimic I found in the fifth chamber would copy the goddamn terror turtle. I barely did anything in the dragun fight, it was double-teamed by the damn turtle team of doom. Managed to put together the bullet too, shame I got sloppy in the past kiling bit tho, not sure if I'll have this good of a run anytime soon.

So I worked my way to Fate Apocrypha now. UBW was brilliant, Zero was pretty good too. This tho, it kinda started good but it's slowly losing me at the halfway mark. It's for the most part just brawling with little to no of the stuff that made the original interesting. An apt comparison would be the sound design in this one, at first I really liked the overblown distortion that followed a big hit, made it drive home how insanely strong it was and all that, but then you realise that every single goddamn hit is going to be using that same fucking noise and it starts to become very irritating and lazy sounding. And the whole show is kinda like that, they took some of the stuff that made the previous ones good and dialed it up to 11 but in the process they pushed out the stuff that made the giant flashy battles actually matter and be something more than mindless brawls. And as much focus is put on the fighting this time around, I can't help but think that despite all the flashyness the choreography and direction is kinda blander this time around :S

Dev manifesto for Betreyal

f for dual-wielding melee builds.

It's really funny tho, people complain that statsticks are stupid and OP and should be dealt with so GGG goes 'hmmm, what's the best way to completely misinterpret this complaint, hmmmm' and completely kill them in case of melee skills while leaving the equally, if not moreso problematic issue of statsticks for casters completely untouched :V
