It gives me conniptions

In our timeline... yes you are aggressively correct ma sur.
But in the mcu timeline... it is not.
I could even debate that the 2003 hulk movie counts but I'm a shitposter not someone who cares to debate strangers.
But now... I'm attracted to you  ;)
Wanna get some slice and watch some antman?

So if the Hulk is set before Iron Man in the MCU, how does Stark know about the Avengers before Fury tells him about it at the end of the first Iron Man?

Yeah it's due to the lens distorting it, but even without it you'd see just a bit of the eyelid/lashes. Also the eye might be too dark, I may have ligthened up the whole thing a bit without takng the eye into account.

Looking good Arx, but you might wanna look into trying different brushes or textures for different parts of her. There's some of it going on but not enough imo, makes the whole thing look kinda like clay.

Anyways, I'm only two weeks late for the self portrait day but late is better than never I guess :V

Iron Man was first tho, and the first with a post credits teaser for the Cap movie, which makes it the first in the MCU.

So I looked up the sales numbers for Battlefront. 14 million copies in six months. If every one of those was just the minimal 60$ then they made their money back more than 3 times over (if we take the 200 million dev cost as true). And that's without counting the DLC/season pass.

So why did Battlefront 2 need those F2P things shoved down it's throat if the game was a sequel to a smash hit and by all accounts a better game that would most certainly sell just as well, if not better. Is 14 million copies sold just not enough to keep EA out of the poor house, are server costs that freaking huge that they need to turn the game into a P2W shitfest in order to keep them running?

1598
But even if it flops it isn't a 200 million dollar flop. How many indies would have to flop to match just The Old Republic in terms of money wasted?

Yeah, the reason those games cost so much is again, greed. They want maximum returns and profit, so they pour in lots of money, because that's how these things work, right? You put in more money, more money comes out. And they're gonna keep pushing this until the entire house of cards collapses on them.

Because for every huge, overhyped game that sold big purely on hype and then fizzled out within months of release you can name several smaller, reasonable titles that didn't need 200 million dollars to be made or didn't need microtransactions and lootboxes to continue development.

Hell, if severs are so damn expensive to run, why not bring back dedicated servers, remember when those were a thing?

I did an edit, but whatever.

And both models are fine by me. But they are fine as separate things that each has their own pros and cons, for both the makers and the players of the game.

What is a giant nope to me is when for purely greedy reasons a publisher tries to merge the two, so that they can have their cake and eat it as well.

That is not the same holy shit dude. You're equating story progression and completing a game with locking competitive online tools behind grindwalls/paywalls. By your logic they should just start charging for unlocking cutscenes for money so you don't even have to play the game you bought, because hey, they gotta pay for the game you're skipping somehow, right?

What they're essentially doing here is taking a F2P economy and charging you 60+ dollars to be able to take part in it. That's not how this shit works or should ever work, F2P goes off the model of being free but requiring time or money to progress. P2P is where you pay upfront so you don't have to invest anymore money or time, you got the whole product.

Edit:

And the whole reason this is happening is as Jim Sterling put it so nicely "They're not happy with making some money, they need to make ALL the money."
Did anyone really ask for such stupidly high graphical fidelity that you don't even see it unless you stop playing and focus on a single pebble? Or did they go and pour money into doing that before asking if it was actually neccessary for the game to be good and playable? Because surely, if everyone was demanding the toppest of top tier graphics to such an extent then we'd see nothing but super duper highly realistic games as everything else would just not sell.

Looking up some uniform references and I come across this one:

It's couple of days by bus and not extremely expensive so I'm not putting myself into extreme debt by taking the chance. And if it turns out to be a shit deal then I'll just up and leave (I doubt they offer long term contracts with these things, especially out of the gate). Even if it turns out good I doubt I'd be working for longer than 6 months, get some money saved up and look into other options.

Thing is, my current position is that I'm unemployed after almost a year of looking for work, both in my proffession and outside of it. So anything is a step up. And the thing with wage difference is that menial jobs in germany are better paying and more secure than what we have here now, I understand that it comes with higher living costs and the like but at the end of the day, you're still left with more than if you stayed here.

Aditionally the dude says he's getting the work based on a reccomendation from a friend, so I think he has someone there already who's done the work and knows the situation, in any case I'll be meeting him later today to gleam as much info from him as possible.

Language might be an issue but I'd have atleast a month to get some basics down, either way, even if it's temporary and doesn't end up earning me much it's still a chance to get away from home and get some new expiriences.
