I had two attempts at the sister campaign, both ended in disaster, mostly because I got no clue on how to play them properly yet (the skaven approach of cannon fodder and overwhelming firepower doesn't seem particularly effective, mostly because the firepower isn't all that overwhelming so far). Will say that their shooty hawk ability thing is pretty damn juicy, able to yeet a weaker unit of infantry almost instantly if it lands nicely.

Also as an immediate QoL I'd like to see is the forge upgrades displaying the current stats of the item you're upgrading/reforging. I know that the numbers in general go bigger with the rarities but I'd be nice to be able to make an informed choice without having to go trough several screens of UI to find the item in question and then memorize its stats before committing to a choice :V

Was he cheesing the warpbomb brood horrors? That shit looks both utterly broken and stupidly fun. Just running in stupid fast monsters that can go boom on command and then they can keep on being stupid fast monsters afterwards.

Nah, whenever you meat a 'murican there's about a 50% chance they voted Trump so it's best to play it safe and consider them a twat from the word go, have them earn their right to not be considered a gibbering idiot hellbent on bringing everyone down to their miserable level afterwards.

Speaking of space, F for the Arecibo telescope. What was left of it collapsed earlier today, before they could do a controlled thing. Fairly unlikely it'll be restored anytime soon, if ever.

IIRC weren't those rankings created by some CIA infodump on the state of the world back in the cold war? Or I'm probably mixing up a bunch of things here. But I think it went places like the US/Western Europe were 1st world with access to higher education and luxuries and pretty much all the bells and whistles. 2nd world was kinda like that but not as rich, so developed but not super successful or something. 3rd world was pretty much everybody else.

Y'know the bombs can easily be explained away by falling into the artificial gravity fields of the ships they're being fired at, tho I'm not sure the exact mechanics of how their artificial gravity systems were ever technobabbled away

TIL that Farming Simulator has an esport scene with tournaments for big cash and shit. It's on its third season, it's fascinating to watch tbh.

Thing is, if folks were following said precautions about hygene and masks you probably wouldn't need harsh restrictions and lockdowns, atleast not on the scales that are needed now.

So another way to put it would be if you're incapable of exercising your freedoms responsibly in a way that doesn't endanger others maybe you shouldn't have said freedoms in the first place? After all, you don't let kids use guns or drive cars or drink for a goddamn good reason. It's sad to say that the same shouldn't be true for adults but hey, here we are.

I think that's called having broad interests, enjoying music thoroughly and not limiting yourself by silly things like genre or what's cool right now.

I'm kind of similar, there's something from pretty much any genre (or even mix of genres) that I find enjoyable, even if it's a single song.

The campaign details are up all over YT, plenty of gameplay too. Gotta say, the WE stuff looks fun and involved, the Throt less so. And I don't mean the lab stuff, that looks like buff gambling and promises super fun/broken things if played around with. His Vortex campaign seems kinda shitty tbh, you're stuck in the north and your mission is to take certain settlements in a given number of turns (limit goes up when you take one of the settlements in question), this means you gotta be aggressive and rush things while at the same time being in a very nasty starting position with a bunch of DE around you. Oh and when you do take your first target, the WE area nearby starts sending armies after you.

I guess it's a change of pace from the regular campaign stuff but I'm not a fan of time-limited things like this, too much stress for me.

His ME start looks decent enough tho.

The entirety of this thread is gibberish to me, but somehow compelling. It really reminds me of stumbling upon a DF thread for the first time all those years ago on the RelicNews forums, not having a clue just what the fuck was this game supposed to be but being incredibly intrigued by anything that let you construct artificial waterfalls to both water your farms and improve the mood of your people.

How's the tutorial on this, I've been in a power saving mode of sorts when it comes to games lately where I really liked the idea of a game and would want to play it but there's just so much learning the ropes to go trough that I get kinda discouraged and not bother.

TBH I don't think synthwave would fit cyberpunk at all, certain more energetic pieces maybe, but as a genre I don't think it meshes well with the setting. Something in the vein of Carpenter Brut would be more appropriate IMO

Some people are apparently shocked by the fact that RATM are not only a political band but also an extremely left-leaning one

How the fuck does one listen to literally any of their songs and not realize this, are these people not english speakers? Do they not know that lyrics carry meanings?
