I reckon just 2 things could be done to farcry 2 to make it the best game it can be:
Make stealth work
Make bullets actually hurt enemies (cmon, half a damn AK magazine and you're sitting down shooting me still???)

Probably already been done on pc, but eh consoles :(

My one gripe with this game is - 'Unlock radio towers and capture outposts to make your character amazing and get free weapons!!!', so once you've done all that, there's nothing left to bloody do. I wish there was an option to just reset all outposts or something.

Great game, I couldnt play Farcry 1 for shit, loved Farcry 2 but hated the fact that stealth was impossible, and this game nailed it pretty damn well.
But on that note, although it does a great job of no 'super see-through-walls ai', they do notice dead bodies when they otherwise wouldnt be able to see them,
i.e. killing a sniper in a tower ~15m from the ground fully boarded but half the outpost instantly knows theres a corpse :/

But that just adds to the thought you have to put into capturing the outposts! It was so damn easy to kill everyone on the 1st island, but my god the second island makes you think much harder before taking out enemies willy-nilly.

What are your guys 4-weapon loadouts? I've used for majority of the game:
  • Recurve Bow
  • Silenced sniper (was M700 but now the Z73(23?))
  • The M14-like assault rifle silenced with optics
  • The Grenade launcher for when things go mega tits-up

Now I'm saving up for the Bushmaster, that looks pretty delicious. I just wish I could silence the ACE!

Edit: And on the note of short sniping distances, I've been unable to hit/alert any enemies from >=190 metres, which is sad, its not really sniping from such a small distance :(

This game runs so slowly for me as a Cristian ruler, but much, MUCH smoother when playing a Muslim.... God damnit! (Or Allah damnit... whatever)

Now I'm waiting for a DLC that allows you to play pagans, because they're surely gonna release one! More monies eh

MOTHERFUCKER. I decided to play a HRE OPM, Bremen, just to see how I could do. So after a few years of nothing, Hainaut's ruler gets excommunicated, and nows my chance to swipe in! They were only allied to Lorraine, so what's the worst that could happen? Not to mention my alliances with Lüneburg, The Hansa and Aachen so I hoped for a quick win.

Turns out, Lorraine are allied with Savoy, who are allied with Venice, so who allied with Austria, Poland, Holland, Sicily, The Palitanate, Corfu, Montenegro, Naxos, and Lithuania are involved due to their PU with Poland. Oh and then theres Switzerland.

Switzerland... oh you bastard. My first Glimmer of hope was once I'd annexed Holland and Hainaut, they offered peace, for all 38 of my golds. Hell yeah, I'll get 100 at the end of the year! (It's november) So I accept.

The next day, they declare fucking war on me again. This is the first time I've played this in a while due to my obsession with CKII, but god damnit I hate the AI even more now

EDIT: Aha! Austria, the leader of the war accepted peace for me conceding defeat. 3 new provinces and the Papal State loves me. Looks like I won this time bitches

Would fighting animals, that can't wield weapons be considered as non-lethal fighting? Would it go as far as saying that fighting a Hydra be non-lethal as it has no weapons?

I can just imagine how much of a kick in the balls it'd be to go up to a hydra, but everyone decides that its non lethal and starts wrestling and shit.

I have to leave for college at the exact time the feed starts.... God fucking damnit.

Isn't that game like teaching a toddler how to drive a car?

Unless the interface has changed drastically, then it's a pretty easy game to play, just hard to master.

I've been playing for the last 3 days as Troy Steele, CEO and Owner of Steele's Steel Inc.
With only $12k left and 5.5 hours until my 2455 coal is mined, I may have enough money to smelt that many steel bars... and be short on money for bloody ages. I wish retail ticks were every 5 minutes and B2B was much quicker, but selling steel on B2B is like walking into IKEA and trying to sell your own flatpack :/

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but
Nero is a great fun sit and watch game, aswell as being just as fun interacting non stop with all of your robots.
Survival of the fittest is up to you:
  • You can kill off the robots that dont do as they're told
  • Use a single robot as the base of all the newly spawned ones to quickly get your murder-machines into action
  • Set up a turret/enemy robot and direct your robots to avoid fire or to attack, and the best survive while the weak die
  • Save your robots, to use them in the arena againt preconfigured enemy teams
I've not played it in yonks, but it had me hooked when I did

wouldn't that just add a tool to the recipe, not give more than 1 rag?
