I mean the kind of web that you can make your dwarves harvest and weave, I see web randomly appearing everywhere, even though there are no dwarves down there or any target for it to attack for that matter.

Just what my title says, I found a GCS and I have plans to catch it and tame it, then lock it in a room for the rest of it's life. Will it still produce webs when it's in the room?

Damnit, I wish you weren't so right about chipped bones. A shitty bandit archer got a hit on me and chipped my shoulder blade, after I ran away I passed out, he unloaded his whole quiver on me and then proceeded to bash me in the head with his bow ineffectively for about 20 turns. Then, out of nowhere he forced my brain through my 5 cloaks and my several helmets.

They are starting sparring sessions, your marksdwarves are the hunters because hunter is their civilian profession, and when they start training they activate military mode, then when they finish they deactivate military mode.

You get a few free waves of immigrants, and if you're isolated from the dwarf civ those are all you get. Your total immigrant count is determined by your wealth, dwarf deaths and what the caravan says to the mountainhome. I'm not sure what you mean about "speed".

My military of 4 is currently all in the barracks, one dwarf is leading a dodging demonstration and one dwarf is watching, another dwarf is leading a fighting demonstration and one dwarf is watching. Are they increasing Fighting and Dodging by watching the demonstrations?

Throw them off a 15 z-level tower, if they survive that, pull the lever connected to many menacing spikes at the bottom, with a door to go get the nice loot. Problem solved.
