I was the sabotage "team." My appointed squadmate was nowhere to be found, at least me, so I blew up the PA and captured the CE while he was wiring the solars. I copied his ID and threw him into a random place in the tunnel because our leader was under attack in the dorms. Get there, tase someone, get tased by my ally then helped back up, and start taking the leader's cuffs off. Suddenly I have no fire support and get tased again, this time by a crewman. I am lasered to death and explode, twenty minutes nto the round.

The SMES cell will cut the power from the APC, which will slowly drain and eventually kill the AI when the equipment shuts off. It'll take a while, though, so don't count on it.

The wire from the satellite to the station only powers all the outer rooms. The chamber itself is separate from the grid and is powered solely by that SMES cell.

Jacob_Lee was Axl Blyant (died)
Objective #1: Space is a dangerous place. Make sure everyone has a weapon to defend themselves with. This is definitely not a ploy by the Syndicate to break the station down in a string of violent murders, like the Earth cities of yore. Success!
Objective #2: Stay alive until the end. Fail.
The traitor has failed!

I amused myself too much with that round. Combat shotguns and lasers for everybody! And the most challenge I had was *forcing* someone to take my antique laser gun.

The Orwellian society they have is interesting. Pretty nice decorations all over their bases, too.

I kind of wonder how any of the civilizations are still alive. The largest establishments they have are a few dozen members at most, unless you're in the border sectors and the major cities are located elsewhere. Earth was apparently destroyed, too.

Some of these creatures really are straight from nightmares. Imagine being stalked by something that projectile vomits blood all over you to kill.

Yep. All the bandages. Take your axe to a bunch of those giant fiber trees and make tons and tons of bandages. They've taken me through the boss, reaching the bottom of a planet, and multiple times all the way around others. Red combat stims a few times, too.

I found something out of a nightmare.

It was just standing on the edge of my screen when I was mining some coal, then it suddenly jumped at me right as I took the shot. The terrifying creatures are predictably the hostile ones, at least.

Truly, the Apex citizens know the right questions to ask. With the approval of Big Ape, of course.

Also, fun fact: I killed the first town guard thinking he was an enemy. Whoops. :P

Where do you find platinum and diamonds? I've been fighting my way down a threat level nine forest planet but seem to be finding absolutely nothing other than tons of iron. Do they even spawn underground? Do I need to go to a more dangerous planet?

Not sure about NV, but Fallout 3 had companions that might've been Terminators. By that I mean they have an absolutely insane amount of health when you reach the higher levels, especially Dogmeat. Dogmeat could take on deathclaws by himself when I reached level twenty, and the only time I managed to kill him was by shooting him in the back of the head with a shotgun while he was in a fight. Definitely saps some of the difficulty when your companions can destroy entire settlements by themselves, possibly even in a more effective manner than the PC.

I forgot about the brig, too.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

There's a couple ways you could get on. Smash the window between the boarding doors, as I described earlier, then go for the doors on the shuttle. If those are sealed, bash down the shuttle brig windows. Of course, you should be hosing them with laser fire if they're that close and you have a good chance of killing them all if you have enough weapons. Aside from that, the only way on without hitting a door is through space, like you mentioned. A bomb could be used to blast down a door or a window, though shuttle walls and floors are utterly indestructible in the face of all except Lord Singuloth and the badmins.

Man, we're shooting ourselves in the foot with all this discussion on how to board the shuttle a traitor is hijacking. :P

Luckily, doors are immune to thermite. The RCD can be used to take one apart for only ten units, though, so be wary. If you have a welder, energy sword, energy gun, or some other strong weapon/multiple people, you could also bash open the window in the escape airlock and then the shuttle, hopefully without dying to the void. Connecting oxygen first gives you a very good chance of making it in before going critical, but you'll probably be killed after you get on. Blowing up escape and the hallway leading to it after announcing your intentions could work. Make it unsafe for everyone without a suit to cross, kill everyone who dares. Not even the suicidally overconfident human wave of crewmen could beat the void. I think Bd managed to hijack the shuttle by blasting Metastation's escape off the map with a gargantuan uncapped bomb he built.

Also: Using a bomb to crack escape without a really, really good reason will most likely result in you being yelled at by the admins.

I was Specialist Illyich, a bounty hunter after Jaydon Tryshka, an infiltrator. I finally caught up to them on SS13, and chased them all across the station. Seriously, the shootouts felt like a chase scene from the Bourne movies.
It was like being hunted by a Terminator. Everywhere I went, you found me, and nothing I did ever stopped you. I lost both my guns, killed Bryan the HoS, blew a hole in the armory and looted it, blew up genetics, and had a final shootout with Illyich and finally won thanks to my jetpack. He jumped off the escape shuttle with a second to spare, just to take me down.

My original tactic for escaping alone was welding and emagging the escape doors, then using lasers to keep people off my back until the shuttle docks and I can escape. It worked exactly zero times, although I somehow managed to escape by claiming the shuttle and saying everyone who shows up will be shot. Been a while since I had to escape alone, though I like stealing all the energy guns and the ablative and scaring people, usually by tasing and cuffing, then dragging them around for a bit. Pisses people off most of the time, though, despite murder + space would be an equally valid option.

I never see pipe tampering. Even in Atmos it's extremely rare. In fact, I'm the only person I know of that has even run around cutting wires in maintenance at random to just fucking ruin some Engineer's day.

I used to cut wires in revs when heads holed up in one part of the station or another.
That reminded me of the engineering fortress on Metastation. A gauntlet of turrets had to be run through and I found a fight going on at the end of it. Man, we need a rev round again...
