i was thinking it would be based some what on what you trade to the dwarfs, how much you trade to them, your distance from a tunnel belonging to your civilization


it would take longer for it to show up based on how far you are from an pre built tunnel, or another dwarf town belonging to your civi

I was thinking it could work something along the lines of you

get a announcement


it redirects your camera to a edge of the map and a few of the edge tiles start flashing with the digging animation then go away

it then leaves you to Finish the tunnel and connect it to a trade depot

and the this is where the dwarf traders come from and leave from

all the other races still have to come by over land

Barring all these options, is it possible to force the dwarves to start in a cavern instead of on the surface?  Can traders and invasions come in through the caverns?

i think traders will use tunnels now if there on your map when you embark, the world gen kind

from what i can tell invasions only come above ground

i do believe i hold the recorded for shortest lifetime of a fort at just under 5 seconds from unpause

it involved an embark now and bring live fire snakes for food....

fire and death smoke yea...


unpause

say WTF is tha...

your fort has crumbled

re load save

repeat 2 more times

do it over 1 more time and see its the live fire snakes you started with

Well, it probably wouldn't be that bloody if it came to it. Just throw a couple of thermobaric weapons into each fort and they're pretty much screwed.

Urist McEveryone has died after colliding with a wall/bleeding due to fire

u forget dwarfs build walls that cant be destroyed...

ok im back to trying to get this to work i have never gotten it to work like i wanted, with a ranged attack and all, and i still have no idea how to give it a custom tile like in the mayday set

yea it went threw 3 months of play and scans just to all of a sudden shitabrick, and quarantined and deleted my DF folders


how do i make it stop doing this on ever new install?

 so yea after having DF installed on my pc for over 3 months along side AVG, last night i started to play and avg said DF was mail ware and went apeshit trying to remove it, now ever time i re-download it it auto removes the folder....



help?

i would not mind if


they dig only in soils

and

they can only dig 9 or so tiles of rock before giving up and relocating to try over,and the harder the rock the slower they dig(there not dwarfs that can swim threw rock like fish)
