EDIT: Toady reads these, but replying to them would take up a lot of time.

Allow a "Make fire" designation that tells the dwarf to set fire to whatever is on the tile. Use it on leather, beer(in metal barrels), refuse or tallow stockpiles. We can have a bonfire to get water.

DF Suggestions / Re: Priests & religion, revisited (long post)
« on: October 09, 2007, 09:25:00 pm »Your dwarfs should have a religion or not based on thier personality and always have that one unless they convert.
Conversion shouldn't just be at random, it should be based on personality.
Needing a hammer is silly. Maybe a dwarven god would hammers as part of their rituals, but not all of them would.
Not all religions should be violent toward one another.

They wouldn't do anything other than hual clean and fetch water. Not too productive.
Fines sound fine. (puns too)

Bloat10, WHEELBARROWS, (Future): Wheelbarrows could be made and used by haulers to do several jobs at once. The AI for this is complicated though.
Mules working like wheelbarrows would be a good adition to this.

That is what I ment by watering the mushroom. Adding water to the compost.

You don't even really need to use compost necessarily. It's an optimal growing medium, but you can grow mushrooms on just about anything.
Most mushrooms aren't going to grow into soild rock. Thats why I suggested you need to use a substrate other than soild rocks that you dampen once a year.
