The old stockpile is gone, it's just bins sitting there.

Dump the bins and gems, then after they are moved to the garbage zone, undump the gems and see if they get pulled out of the bins.  Failing that:

1) If they are uncut gems, leave them where they are (without a stockpile) and cut them.  They should get cut, then carried to your cut gem storage.

2) If they are cut gems, encrust stuff with them until they are gone.

If they won't cut or encrust, might want to save the game and put it on dffd then go to mantis to report it.


Or, you could dump the gems, but not the bins. They should yank them out to take them to the zone.

Dear friends, I've finally taken it upon myself to modify some of the game content. Adding diversity underground was simple enough, but I'd like to add another civilization group (along with our dwarves, humans, elves, goblins and kobolds) to my entity list. However, I'm not confident what I'm seeing with [OBJECT:ENTITY] and [ENTITY:string].

Does the latter control the places a civilization settles or arises? What does it control? If I were to define, say [ENTITY:MOUNTAIN], will that conflict with the dwarven entity? Or can I have multiples using the same token? Also, what is the range of allowed tokens? Apologies for any failures of search-fu, and thanks!

Plump helmets aren't the favorite food of dwarves, they're just the easiest food.  Beef isn't the most delicious meat humans can harvest, it's just that horses run too faster than cattle.

Bacon is the most delicious harvest.

Cattle is hardly an easy food, though. Grazing or pastoral lifestyles use land in a different way than agriculture (on that thought, the army arc could give us sim of a nomadic tribe) and cave plants generally have a loose range at this stage. None of 'em are a hard harvest.

I think of a simple mushroom, like edible white mushrooms, with regard to plump helmets.

I'm pretty sure 40d had some utility which allowed you to heal all injuries.
Hell if I remember what it was called though.


Healing Utility.

1) Save and exit (the program).
2) Change the creature race's body plan in the raws (creature_standard.txt, I think); i. e., remove the "NOSE" entry.
3) Restart and load.
4) ? ? ? ?
5) Profit!

Burrows affect job sourcing, not traffic flow.

If you want to avoid pathing across a bridge, create an alternate route, and mark it for higher traffic (also, you can lower the bridge's rating) with [ d ] > [ b ] > [ o ]

This may not, in fact, be feasible with your current arrangements.

Bring some bauxite along.

And some turtles, or cave lobsters. Moods will include demands for shell at times.
