My laptop with java and not ultra-slow internet has been fixed!!!
And there has only been...1 secret update. Sadness!

Anyways, once multiplayer works (well), I shall make myself a little cottage with a farm. I shall then sell homemade bread. All pigs shall be slaughtered on site, as bacon is disgusting, and it increases the supply for bread. Muahahah.

Now, to create epic plans for my HUGE bread farm.

Excuse me, your man card please.

Or maybe it was just the Russians invading from the north which made them surrender? too say it defiantly was the result of two bombings, considering that many cities had already been much, much more devastated by bombings previous to them, its a little arrogant.

(I believe) their plan was to drop the first one and try to scare the Japanese into surrendering, when it didn't work they hit them with the second, this idea being that they would make the Japanese think that there are more on the way if they don't give up. I'm pretty sure that they had a third, and I think the idea that an enemy country has plenty of bombs, each with the power to destroy a city, is more intimidating than the Russian army. (Not bad mouthing the Russian army, they were are hardcore.)

It's too bad it's turn-based (At least for me), for horror and survival games I much prefer first person, just because it's more immersive and first person games are also what I'm best at.

But I still think that this will be good, I rpgs are my second favorite genre, and this is made by some of my favorite developers of rpgs.

Why not pick 6(?) people to be a committee of some sort, each spot would have a different criteria (Founding member of coalition, member with highest TL, member with highest population, one chosen by popular vote, etc.) but they would all have equal say.0

To join you just need to be a Bay12'er and ask one of those guys, just one guy says yes and you're in, but if you need to kick someone out you'd need a majority vote (4 vs 2).

That would reduce bureaucracy for joining, and would make it a bit more difficult to remove a guy.

Hmmm.... is there anything I could be missing? I have the client, but do I need the server thing? I'm running Vista (32 bit), the program is not frozen... what's going on?

EDIT:: New problem, which will result in me waiting a bit before logging in, I have bot a log and animal carcass in my inventory, and I'm trying to follow the instructions to turn the carcass into a leather, then textile, and the log into a needle, but it won't go, the button is lit up, but it does nothing.

That was the idea, but, I have a problem.

I created my empire (The Diamond Ring Effect, which ties in with my flag), my race (The Darkest color Dry Skin type possible with no facial features other than eyes), and then I hit "Enter Hazeron"

This was 15 minutes ago, and it still says "Logging in to Server...", and when I turn around and look at my modem all of it's lights are on, and not flashing. (They flash when there is activity, ie: loading a page, downloading, paying an online game.)

Are the servers down now?

I think that I'm going to go by myself to start, just to get a feel for the game, though I'll probably join an empire under the Armok Collation later.

I can't really agree on the poll, so just clicked the longest option. IMO, from a combat mechanics perspective, not really, but it depends on the class. Some classes would be worth more at higher levels, I think monk is one of them and rather poor at low levels.

I'm not sure if the extra monk levels are really worth the AC boost. You get some nice defensive spell slots with the three extra wizard levels (or even archmage, IIRC). +5 AC is -25% to hit, so it's definitely nice, but at higher levels people will have ridiculously high attack bonuses and damage that you'll want to stay away from melee combat completely.

I think the beauty of LA races is that you get to play those races at all. It doesn't seem to provide that much of a bonus from a combat perspective.

Two things!

1! Thank you other guy for directing me there, I didn't know that they had forums!

2! We're playing gesalt, so we take 2 classes every level, but not the same one at the same time, so tradinging 3 levels of monk for 3 more of wizard isn't possible. I'm already taking wizard to level 15 anyways.

Imperium Casso can always use more dudes. All but one of our current citizens have gone inactive.  :(

How many guys do you have total (inactive included)?

Really small, the FAQ said it would be reduced to 64x64 pixels, so I made it that size.

The forums is called "Other Games" so I think this fits  :-\, sorry if it doesn't, but, to my problem...

tl;dr D&D 3.5, Playing a caster that gets AC from int, need a race with Level Adjustment 2 or less that adds Int and (possibly) Dex, or a class to take only 2 levels of.

I'm going to be playing in a high powered, gesalt game and I'm putting together a char, I already rolled my stats (with DM aproval), they are:

We start at level 15 so I have 30 levels to spend. This is my plan:
I take Wizard from level 1-15
I take Monk at level 1 or 1-3 (This is the problem)
I take Master Specilist from 4-13
Then Archmage for 14 and 15
Here's a table:

The reason for the level(s) of monk is there is a feat (dm approved) that lets you use Int rather then Wiz for all Monk abilities, IE: Add my int bonus to AC, yay! (Leaves me with 18 AC at this point)

The point of my post, and my dilemma is that I don't really get anying useful to a caster from taking 2 more levels of monk over the first (Evasion, +10 speed and a +2 against enchantments). My other option is that I take a race/template with a LA, one with a bonus to Int and possibly Dex.

All I can think of for races are Grey Elf (0 LA, +2 int, -2 str) and Drow (+2 LA, +2 int, +2 cha, some nice abilites)

Alternatively someone recommends a class that I will only ever take 2 levels of (Not wizard or monk)

---What I've done so far---
(Skip this if you don't really care about it)
The town is a human town, it takes up a 3x3 area, and I embarked in a 4x4 which gives me access to a brook, and a road that runs down the side of the embark area. There are quite a few people living here, about 75.

So here's what I've done and am doing so far (If this is something you want to know)
1. Setup my fort, beds, workshops, ect.
2. Stole all their food from the houses (Still working on this)
3. Knocked down the wall of a trinket shop and put my Depot inside, dug a passage way from under the floor to my fort.
4. The Depot passage is currently my main entrance, and so I am rigging it up to trap it's occupants, then flood if I need it to. (The Depot its self won't flood, as it's above ground)

---Actual Question---

So, what I want to know is:
1. What I can get from killing the members of the town.(Bones? Skin? Meat?)
2. Is it worth it to kill them?(I could leave the military ones alive as backup)
3. How can I do it without making them try to kill me.
4. Anything else that's really useful/beneficial, etc, that I could be doing/getting while in this town?

As for killing them, my current plan is to turn their meeting buildings into drowning chambers, but I'm not sure if they will continue to go into those buildings if I damage/alter them

EDIT:: I'm still crusing along at 100fps, even with all the people, so killing them isn't going to make it any better.

I have done a quick search, but it turned up nothing. What I'm looking for is a square tileset, I've heard that there is a curses font, within the game, that is square. If not, is there a tileset that is similar to curses, but square.
