#4. The co-op play. Again, this had me really excited. A full-blown co-op shooter/Diablo hybrid? But they planned it out so fucking poorly.
If that's what interests you, I would have suggested Hellgate: London a few years ago. Now that the servers are down, it's only good for single-player.

I bought that game, I have it sitting around here somewhere. It is fuckbad, it's like they gave up partway through making it.

Steam does a very important service to it's users. Once you own the game, it's your game forever.
Forever until you lose your account, get hacked, etc. Of course, that's similar to losing a game's DVD, except that with steam, you lose all the games bought with it... And if you got hacked, chances are your VAC status will be screwed up.

Also, most games don't remove their DRM for steam. Ass Creed 2 still has its drm even through steam. So even if you bought it on steam, you have to worry about that crap.
Too bad only idiots get hacked.
Being hacked requires either doing something retarded like falling for a scam or visiting bad sites like pirate sites, so either way the only ones screwed are idiots.

I never understood cracking steam games, don't they work without the disk anyway?

Manly Swedish Musket Guitar, WHILE GETTING SHOT AT.

I almost bought this game today, is it worthy? Or should I just keep with Medieval 2?

Uh, I, uh. That pig looks happy. Such a happy pig. That's mine.

But anyways. I've been trying to find Black & White 2 for ages now. And I just can't. The cousin who owned it has lost it, all the game stores don't have it any more.

Gah!

Reinstalling.

Helpfull?

Why would I want to download the game guide?

That'll teach me for not reading quickly googled web page eh?

Anyway.

And another.

Once you have an army of professional, high-upgraded units (sorry, I meant to say 'if it ever happens without you being killed in some stupid way like Jarl Reamald is chasing you, but he is too slow, and then Jarl Bulba comes out of nowhere with a party of 7 which of course goes super fast and catches you, and Jarl Reamald reinforces him'), you can take on armies ten times your size or larger. In Native Expansion, due to the ease of access to Nobles etc., I used to routinely take on entire 1000 Rhodok legions with my platoon of 75 men.

You can still do it in Warband with a fortress. My best so far is 975 Swadians vs. 75 Swadian Rebels in Teyvarin. Swadian Rebels won.

Attacking with high end units has a similar effect. In my most recent game, I took a mercenary band and captured all of the Nord cities for Kingdom of Vaegirs. Nubs didn't bother defending it, though, they just kept running to the far side of the map to feast and leaving the cities unattended, so the Jarls and their bodyguard would pick them up themselves. Such a pain.

I can't do that on easy.

And was that worth your one time installation that you cannot resell?
That's called Steam.
You have to pay 10$ every time you want to install it on another computer? I don't think so.
And was that worth your one time installation that you cannot resell?

...No. Steam doesn't limit you to one installation. I've installed several games I bought on it on both my desktop and my (currently dead) laptop, and even includes "Steam Cloud" support in a lot of games, which means your in-game settings and/or saves are linked to your account (I typically just disable this feature because I couldn't play much on my laptop before it died and right now I only use my desktop). It does however limit you to one account. This means if you want to resell a single game you'd have to sell your account (and I'm unsure if that violates a Terms of Service or not).
You cannot resale at all. That's because I compared it to steam, not because of the first part.

You also cannot sell your account. Also if it gets hacked and your VAC status is screwed, you can say bye bye to all servers that are vac protected.

The purpose of the anti-multiple installations and DRM is to keep you from reselling your game. Steam is a master at that.

It is a very nice DRM though. I mean it has alot going for it.

Ugh, I have been forced to savescum several times now. Something always goes wrong. Most recently, I had five expert wrestler/fighter dwarves take out three crocs. The crocs won without a scratch. /exit.

Fighting and wretling are both usless skills, you want to aim for armoured dwarves with weapon skills.

Bleh, I almost bet back an enemy force 3 times my side, I got down to 45 vs 45 and had to rely on the autocalc for the last battle due to my guy making best friends with a sword.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
Well, since mathematics have been brought into this thread, a negative times a negative does make a positive.

Yes, but a negative plus a negative (which would be the addition of two wrongs) just makes a greater negative.
