OK, got it. Ooooh...giant robot. Awesome. Does it seem to be working? Are there computer parts in it I can access? I'm thinking I want to figure a way to Inhabit the giant robot.

Also, I hereby call "dibs" on it.

I think the owners would be a bit upset if you tried to steal Liberty Prime. Anyway, I have plans for him.

EMP? Well, fark that, I'm outta here. Into the Ragnarok Portal!

You already went through Rag's portal. I always keep the party together unless someone explicitly states they want to split up.

BTW, what do y'all think of my new channel background?

What about that link at the top of the page that says "Show new replies to your posts"?

That's still a passive alert system. Usually I use a firefox addon that raises an alert every time I get an email.

Ready my AER9 and open the door. Ask the intruders who they are and what they are doing here.

Also, I can't have the AEP7 as a side arm?

If I remember right, BOS soldiers never spawn with both laser weapons. You either have an AEP7, an AER9, or a plasma rifle and an AEP7.

Also, they're not intruding, you are.

For some reason I can't access my e-mail account, which means that I won't be able to respond instantly to posts in this thread like I usually do. Honestly, you probably won't even notice.

Derm: Try to find what part of the teleporter went 404 and fix if possible.
Kisame: Grab Derm the Ass-less Assasin and GTFO
01101: checking the underlying reality for signs of damage.
Japa: Grab somebody and get the hell out of there.
Fuzzy: Create a jetpack as quickly as possible and fly away.
Rag: BOOK, GIVE ME A FUCKING READY-CAST GATE SPELL NOW.
Toly: Grab someone (wounded) and GTFO.

Derm:

You decide this would be a good time to crack open your teleport module and see if you can fix it.

Unfortunately, its sensitive innards have been completely ruined by the EMP field that was around the bridge. It is entirely beyond repair.

Kisame:

You pick up Derm and run through Ragnarok's gate.

01101:

Reality seems undistorted, but there's definitely some upsetting chemical and radiothermal processes going on down there. You estimate that there's about a thousand tons of weapons-grade plutonium down there. If it gets compressed by, say, the blast wave that would be emitted from all that primary explosive that's down there with it if it were to detonate, the resultant EMP effect would be more than enough to completely eliminate you from existence. The resulting blast of thermal and gamma radiation would have about the same effect on the other members of the party.

Japa:

You grab Toly who is holding Kisame who is holding Derm, and fly through the portal Ragnarok opened.

Fuzzy:

Jetpacks are unneccecarry when you have mages with magical repositories of unlimited knowledge.

Rag: 6

The book opens to what you need. It seems to make enough sense to cast. You go over the runes once in your head, then cast the spell.

A large spinning thing appears in the air. You jump in to it.

Toly:

You grab Kisame who is holding Derm and are carried by Japa through Ragnarok's portal.

Text:

*BOOM*

You feel a flash of heat at your backs, and Toly's geiger counter lets out one loud *CLICK*. It fades in a split second. Then you slam into something hard. It gives way, and you find yourself skidding away from a large exploding machine on a big hazard-striped disc at a very high velocity. The disc slams itself into a wall, breaking it and revealing a man in red-and-black power armor who was peering through a service door.

You look around and see that you are in a large warehouse. People in labcoats and jumpsuits with the TOAST Industries logo on them scurry all over the place, along with a few people in long red robes.

Lying on the floor of the warehouse is a large humanoid robot with US Army symbols on it. It takes up a good portion of the floor, while the rest is occupied by TOAST Industries machinery and the occasional train part.

Nirur: I shoot my depolarized metal stick with spectral energy until it's dangerously radioactive.
Serious: Since there was nothing in his way, Ax resumed heading towards the Stone, so he could touch it and finally finish his part of the job.
Kisame: Blast a hole in the wall of the Emet and fly out with the teleforce. Like a boss.
Ggamer: Advance the plot in the most piratey way possible
Riccto: nap break. science is hard

Nirur: 5

You enchant the sword with a 40-point shock damage enchantment. Anything that gets hit must roll to avoid dying instantly, unless it's immune to electricity, in which case the former-sword is completely useless.

Serious: 3

Serious walks towards the stone, with the intention of activating it.

Kisame: 1

You blast the wall of the Emet with your teleforce. It blows out a significant amount of load-bearing wall. You then push the teleforce out the newly-created hole. It falls a couple hundred meters and smashes on the ground.

You dorf.

GGamer:

WAAAAARRRRRRRR

You WAAAUGH-ARR, axe some demon lawyers, and grab Serious and run him to the stone at full speed.

Riccto:

You retreat to your quarters to take a nap. You are interrupted by Kisame attempting to destroy the ship from the inside.

Schilcote:

The golem continues providing covering fire for Serious.

Iali:

Iali creates some more repair nanites to help fix the big hole Kisame caused, then takes some of the wood and uses it to prop up the structure of the building around the hole. That should cause the Emet from falling apart, at least.

"I thought Dwarves were supposed to be good engineers," he grumbles to himself.

Text:

Serious, propelled by four-hundred pounds of green-skinned pirate, slams his hand into the stone.

Immediately, it lets out a massive pulse, liquefying all the remaining enemies into organic sludge.

The Emet and its crew are teleported back to the academy, where a bunch of scholars are waiting. They provide applause as the crew disembarks.

The hooded dude from the beginning of the game makes his way through the crowd. "Bravo," he says, clapping. "You've done well. The Stones have restabilized the planes, but it's only temporary. We've pinpointed the location of the source, now you need to go and destroy it. I suggest you take your time to prepare first, though; something strong enough to cause that kind of planar distortion would have to be insanely powerful. We've added the co-ordinates to your vessel's navigational computer. You've got about three months to prepare, after that, whatever was causing that distortion is probably going to come looking for you. Make sure you're prepared, and goodbye."

Schilcote loads the crew back on to the Emet, and jumps the airship back to the Mechanic Heaven of turn 29. He leads the party out onto the roof of the Emet, where he prepares to make a speech to the crew and to the crowd that has formed around the mighty airship. The mighty golem dons his shades and straps his guitar and hammer to his back, stands up tall, and speaks.

"As some of you on my crew may already be aware, I have a plan. A plan that will allow us to defeat the creature that is threatening our worlds. I will need the full cooperation of everyone here if we want to be successful. Do I have that co-operation?"

Am I the only one for whom this picture is not showing up?

Um. I can't see that picture either. Leads to a page that says the account has been suspended or somesuch.

'twas a joke relating to the fact that I changed the image to something else. See?

What were we trying to do again? The stones were supposed to do something that will help us defeat whatever's causing the planar distortions, or something.

Figured it out.

Am I the only one for whom this picture is not showing up?

Yes, quite definitely.

Also, we should really plug George in to something sometime. Once you get to your destination, I have a plan for getting him a robot body, but the way things have been going lately, you may not ever get there at all.

Don't sign up unless you can read at least one turn per day, possibly more.

Also, back in the beginning, it was running at about two or three turns a day.

Eh, I thought things would move a lot quicker than they are, that's all.

STFU >:C

We're going about one turn a day. That's pretty fast, I'd think.

Jesus, and here I was thinking I'd have trouble keeping up with the game.

Hmm?
