Press red, blue, green, red.

The lights light up as you press the buttons. Green, red, green, blue.

272
regarding the reasoning behind the last one, the proper sequence comes up RGB which is a pretty common way to state the primary colors. Also you are lighting them up in sequence from the hottest color to the coldest color.

I'll wait on the response to FZ before throwing out more commands.

Nope, overthinking it. I didn't even think about all that while I was coming up with it. The LEDs just showed the next button you need to press.

Press the red, green, and blue buttons and note any reactions.

The red button lights up the blue light, the green lights the red light, and blue the green light.

273
Hmm.

Try pressing blue, then red, then green.

Basing it on the idea that although red+blue=purple it's still smarter to press the primary colors and then the secondary color.

Right answer, wrong reasoning. I'm not sure whether I should count that or not.

Yeah, might as well. See if you can figure out the rule behind it htouhgj. Uhh, though. Typing with cold hands.

Here comes a clever one.

EXPERIMENT 3:
Time to devise: >1 minute
Estimated time to complete: ~5 turns

The console's surface remains the same, again.

274
Try pressing each button, starting with green, then red, then blue. Make a note of which one doesn't sound the buzzer.

You press the green button, and the blue light lights up. When you press red, green lights up, and when you press blue, red lights up.

275
Try pressing the buttons in the order of white, green, red, blue, white.

You press the white button, then the colored buttons. The console dings. Yay, you've solved the puzzle! (the white button displayed the sequence, BTW)

Now on to something slightly more complex!

EXPERIMENT 2:
Time to devise: >1 minute
Estimated time to complete: 3 turns

Reality shifts, and the white button disappears. The console remains otherwise identical to the way it was, at least externally.

So are you actually trying to make a Mile High Mech?

At some point, yes. That's the ultimate goal of The Plan.

Now everyone post actions.

277
Is it safe to assume that the green button made a buzzer sound as well?

No, it didn't. In fact, I made an error, red shouldn't have caused the buzzer either.

he said NO to The Plan by railroading you.

No he didn't. That wasn't The Plan, that was upgrading the Emet. I've already done everything I need for that stage of The Plan.

Dragonshardz:

Shut up, you don't exist yet.

(what exactly would an Outcast be doing in Sodor anyway? There IS some Brotherhood (as in, Lyons' Capital Wasteland Brotherhood) activity in the area, you can PM me about it if you consider it important.)

FTFY.

I dunno, I just didn't wanna be associated with Elder Lyons. Maybe I'm keeping an eye on the Capital Wasteland guys or something.

That's what I supposed you would be doing.

280
Press each of the buttons in this order: white, blue, green, red, white. Observe what the lights do for each press of the button.

You press the white button, and the LEDs blink green, red, blue. Pressing blue and red result in a buzzer sound, white makes the LED pattern repeat the same as it was the first time.

I guess we're doing this Micro-RTD style :P

[TAG]

Alright, we'll start off with something simple:

EXPERIMENT 1:
Time to devise: >1 minute
Estimated time to complete: 2 turns

You see in front of you a console with four buttons, red, green, blue, and white. The white button is positioned underneath the other three. Above the red, green, and blue buttons are three LEDs, which are all dark. Post actions please.

(I'm 141 according to IQtest.com, by the way. I doubt that test is very accurate though. I've actually broken intelligence tests before.)

Kisame: Find a pig and slaughter it for its bacon. Force feed said bacon to Derm. Because bacon heals all.
Dermonster: Sit there and go into shock. Medical shock.
Fuzzy: Get this train started and search the area of the explosion with my buddy Action Lamp.
01101: If it feels I can do so safely, I will approach the bridge again, with intent to recover wounded.
Japa: Scream in pain.
Dragonshardz: Wait.
TolyK: Going to the bridge, see if I can help wounded. If so, help them (i.e. give a medthing/stim pack to them). ... by train.
Ragnarok: Enclosed, do you have any spells that destroy events rather than objects?

Kisame:

You quickly search for pigs. Unfortunately, this is Sodor, and pigs do not spawn randomly out here. Damn.

Derm: 5

You go into shock. Yaaaay, shock!

Fuzzy: 5

You yell at Thomas to get his ass in gear. He begins to chug down the rails as fast as he can.

01101: 4

You fly down and grab Derm as he falls, placing him a ways off to the side of the tracks.

Japa:

You fall to the ground and squirm around a bit.

Dragonshards:

Shut up, you don't exist yet.

(what exactly would an Outcast be doing in Sodor anyway? There IS some Brotherhood (as in, Lyons' Capital Wasteland Brotherhood) activity in the area, you can PM me about it if you consider it important.)

TolyK:

(see text:)

Ragnarok: 6

You ask The Enclosed Instruction Book for magic that can modify the timeline. It produces pages and pages of runes and ritual instructions.

You can probably make it work, but it's going to take some time. And some chalk.

Text:

Thomas chugs down the tracks towards the broken bridge... and doesn't stop.

"Something's wrong with the brakevan! I can't stop!"

Fuzzy, Kisame, Toly, and Rag all jump off of the train, with Fuzzy holding on to Action Lamp.

Thomas goes careening off the tracks and into the deep chasm below, carrying twenty (well, nineteen and a half) boxcars behind him.

After a few seconds, you hear a massive crash from the bottom of the chasm, followed by a few explosions that continue for the next minute or so.

Whoops.

Toly injects Derm's torso with three stimpaks and clips the TIAMA to his arm. The TIAMA makes some paniced beeping noises, but then begins to steady out. The bleeding from Derm's lower body has, miraculously, ceased.

Toly administers another three stimpaks and TIAMA to Japa, who immediately begins feeling better. Yay morphine!

A massive explosion rocks the cliffside. Apparently, the train had some fissile materials on board. This is very bad.

The ground begins to rumble.
