"Well, these guys are kinda pushovers."

Well, that's certainly not the impression I wanted to leave.

Fuzzy: Maintain golem creation.
TolyK: Run forward, lie down, pew pew.
Frelock: Fire Nano-EAGLE in the direction it came from.
Tyberix: Find a cover and wait for the enemy.
Ragbarok: Rain Lightning-based fury upon my foes!
Bdthemag: Pew pew something.

Fuzzy: 6 (Oh boy)

HRRRRNNNNGRRRGRRRGGGHHH

The ground is moving a lot.

TolyK: 5

You run around in circles and then throw yourself on the ground. Everyone is too scared to look at you like you're an idiot.

Exept me.

Frelock: 6

(see Text)

Tyberix: 4

You find something to cower behind.

Ragnarok: 3

You begin charging Thundra...

Bdthemag: 3

You draw your Melonium...

Choobakka:

You arrived two turns ago, and chose your weapon.

Music: Jeff Wayne - Epilogue Pt. II/The Eve Of The War

Text:

Something approaches in the distance. As they get closer, you can start to make out details. It is a small army of large tripods, made out of what look like red cargo containers. They have two wheels on the front, and a cargo container tail with another two wheels.

"Loooooooooooooooollll...."

As they continue approaching, you can make out some of the markings on them. They have a large swastika painted on the side, with a green four-leaf clover behind it.
You can also see a small turret on top of the saucer section.

"LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL..."

They open fire.

The remover beams rake along the ground, instantly destroying anything they touch in a burst of sparks. Within seconds, half of the civilians standing around the party are killed. The rest are running away.

Someone activates some sort of quickly cobbled-together machine, and the tripods slow down. The remover beams seem to be having trouble aiming.

Frelock, enraged, runs at one of the tripods and shoots the joint between the topmost container and the body with his Nano-EAGLE. After a few shots, the container detaches and knocks over the tripod next to it.

Inspired by this minor victory, the TOAST forces open fire on the tripods as well.

Roll for damage: 1

But they only manage to destroy a few tripods, and the army as a whole is unaffected.

Then, golems.

A massive army of thousands of golems wades through the crowd and towards the tripods. The remover beams try to hit them, but they simply can't track fast enough inside the stasis field. Once the golems enter the field, though, the remover beams begin inflicting casualties.

Roll to aim: 4

The remover beams carve a swath through the golem army, but there are plenty left. The golems begin climbing the tripods and beating on them with their fists.

Roll for damage: 5

The entire frontmost row of tripods is disabled by Fuzzy's golem army. They are all smashed under falling cargo containers and saucers.
Fuzzy passes out from the effort.

Ragnarok finishes his Thundra spell.

Roll for damage: 5+1(due to epicness)=6

A massive storm of lightning rains down upon the tripods. Their remover beams explode from the massive electrical surge, and the weld constraints snap from the sudden heat. Another fifty or so tripods are destroyed by the lightning.

The tripods hit the stasis field generator with their remover beams, and it disappears in a shower of sparks.

The last fifty or so tripods begin rolling over their fallen brethren.

Roll To Dodge / Re: RTPJ: Turn 32: There goes your crew...

Hmm... I'd build a Relativistic Mana Pit, but then again, if there was a containment breach, the friction between the payload and the air would blow the Emet up in a mushroom cloud.

Instead, I shall simply install a big ol' energy tank. It's temporary, but if The Plan goes right, we'll probably have more energy than we'll ever need.

Then, I will procure some digging equipment. Preferably powerful, but still small enough to fit out of the Emet's front door (which I'm hoping is a double door).

I think you can start to guess what the next stage of The Plan is now (well, the next stage is Activate The Rock, but the one after that I mean).

All this talk of relativistic mana pits gives me an idea.

Construct a gravity cannon. The cannonball would fall in a lidded chamber with a portal on the bottom that leads to one built into the lid. Some manner of magitek speedometer (possibly detecting and timing the activation of the portals) would then automatically switch the bottom portal to one attached to an aiming mount, and the cannonball would fly from it at up to terminal velocity (or faster, if the air in the chamber is drained) towards the unlucky target.

634
You haven't denied any of SC's guesses... That worries me...

They're all wrong too. The Plan is a short-term plan.

635
:o you're going to make Emet into a time machine...

That would be cool, but it's not part of The Plan...

636
Well, while we're waiting, let's try to guess what The Plan is.

637
If that's the case it'll melt Shilcote's robotic heart and he'll learn the true meaning of love and friendship and become a real boy!

>:C

638
How about you post The Plan in english. Or latin. Or 1337 5p34k. Because those are the only ways I would be able to read it. But noooo, you have to keep it secret from the evilly plotting GM

Exactly. I want it to be a surprise. And I want you to be unprepared.

The final boss should probably be Haet Machine, the shape-shifting omnicidal physical manifestation of all hatred and evil. One of the two people ever to have pissed of LS01 and survived. He ought to be a challenge, in addition to making sense (though we won't be able to kill him, just beat him up until he runs away).

639
...because that's really helpful. I'm almost dreading what'll happen if you get a six on every part of The Plan.

Step 3 is so awesome it should auto-succeed. Seriously. You can't let awesomeness like that fail.

Also, the code is 7, since I doubt any of you could figure out my encryption scheme even with the passkey.

640
Okay, here is a preliminary breakdown of the basics of THE PLAN:

Spoiler: THE PLAN (click to show/hide)

The Plan should begin right after the stones get activated.

641
A: WHARS THE TURN CHOO
B: Can someone look over the whole game and tell me if my character is developing, or just being derailed? I'm worried it might be the latter, since he's gone from my original idea to something completely different in such a short time. Not that I'm complaining; the game would be one hell of a lot less cool if I'd stuck with Golem!Schilcote's original characterization.

The big-breasted woman is the night elf twins. I didn't make it clear that they were supposed to be male.

The kids look at you in astonishment. The appear to be half-elves, and have the look of powder monkeys, people who work the cannons on the ship. The hostage says, "My name is Kafired Warpshot, and this is my brother Akituhub. These pirates bought us from some slavers who had killed most of our clan in a raid on our ship-village. Thank you for rescuing us." His brother says, "We would gladly work the cannons on your mighty house. Please, will you take us?"

(emphasis mine)

He used to build things, y'know? He HELPED people. But then....he just started..experimenting. And it didn't start with him, no. He started....with his own teammates..then his wife..his CHILDREN. He kept SAYING he needed MORE PARTS and MORE PEOPLE to make that army but..when he couldn't find anyone else..

He used himself.

E:

Instead of/in addition to the air recyclers, create a small, permanent portal to the Plane Of Air (if that's possible). Should also be useful for dumping things in, which I will need for The Plan.

Get equipment from the quartermaster? What means that?
This is why he said read the whole thread :P

The quartermaster is the person in charge of the armory. Comes from an archaic term for property, he is literally the "master of [the army's] quarter".

You said something about joining? Because I would like to be Pur O'Blem, the Troll Troll Physics major.

Post an action and get your equipment from the quartermaster. You may also want to read the whole thread up to this point.

644
Kewl. Remember to send me a PM if you do that then. :D

Also, is your application to Netland still good? 'Cos now's a good time to enter the game.

645
Huh. There's nothing much for a multiple dissociative personality disorder paladin/fallen paladin to do with his/their life. They certainly can't go back home. They probably wouldn't be able to agree to go on most adventures, and wouldn't want to be saving everything all the time.

You could work for me. I'd just have to add a third part to The Plan (which would take place after the end of the game).

Also, Choo, have you thought about letting us reuse these characters and their equipment in a later campaign? I think it'd be cool to see the continuing adventures of the Emet and its crew, even if only a few characters carry over. Plus I'd get more mileage out of The Plan, which is a good thing.
