DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Generating a world without Dwarves

I'm trying to Generate a world for Fortressing without a dwarven civ. I finally got a world without a dorf civ, but... It won't let me build a fortress. Does anyone have a save that this works on? Thanks. I'm really wanting to try out a "last dwarves" scenario, but I need the world to be genned properly first.

How about making a peasant the new king? Unassign him all labors, and build him a royal bedroom, dining, tomb, ect?

Fellow Dwarves, I ask you this: Why is there Pudding stone? More accurately, Why is a simple "mineral" bearing an [AQUIFER]? What could this mean for a fortress? Caverns flooding due to exposed veins?  Infinite sources of fresh water? Flooded Bedrooms? I ask you these things, and leave it unto you to answer.

Damn straight I do. My entire medical team is awesome. I forgot to mention how this dwarf had his chest ripped open by the dame draltha. He has no illness at all now. He has gone on to get around 60 more kills in under a year, too.

When my Hammer dwarf got his hand broken (stepped on) by a draltha, causing him to drop his hammer. He then BIT THE DRALTHA'S LEG OFF.
That makes some awesome imagery, In my honest opinion.

I found out about DF through the MC forums. I then tried it, and was confused to no end. I was honestly expecting a 2D Minecraft, and found something that my mind couldn't come to terms with for months.

But atom smashing animals is hard. I'll just butcher them all instead. It will take longer, but eh. Or I could just cage them all.

EDIT: As much As I hate to say it, I really can't do this. You'll have to skip me. I simply CAN'T handle a fortress where looking at the health screen causes crashes. This is terribly sad to say. Also, my computer can't take the FPS. Sorry guys!

Wow, this fort has lots of drop outs.... Is it Ok if I spend most of my turn curbing the animal count and such? I'm not very good at Building, but I'm pretty good at Management and FPS repair. Though, I'll keep building if you want.
EDIT: What version should I use?

EDIT EDIT: Now that I'm looking around the fort.... What is the FB syndrome I heard about? Also: 9 FREAKING FBs?!!?!?!?...... How can we weaponize this?
Maybe I'll make the military my job too. =/
