It might just be my flashdrive, it's been beat to hell, washed a few times, and stepped on.

Well There's your problem!

333
wield grate that you collected earlier, shove an oven or something up against the door, and get some food. Go back up into the vent and look for another way out.

You shove an oven to one door, and the refrigerator to the other. That should hold them off. You find some moldy food, a bottle of water, and a large bad of beef jerky. You see no purpose in taking the moldy food, so you just leave it. You consider going back into the vents, but there was only the single path to take. The only other direction was up. And going up in tiny ducts like that would be nigh-on impossible. However, when moving the fridge, you discovered a metal hatch. It requires a key, however.

Take a solid peice of furniture and batter down all zombies on your way to the vent. Use the dresser to climb up to it and use the old coin trick to get it open. Keep the vent grate with you, you might need it later.

You move the desk to the vent, and climb up to it, open it, and get in, just as the zombies bash down the door. Huzzah. You continue down the vent, and come out in what looks to be the kitchen. All of the doors are locked, and bolted. zombies are beating fruitlessly on the doors. You need to find another way out. You see several cupboards, tables, chairs, cabinets, and appliances. all possible weapons are gone, unfortunately. But you do have that small, rusty knife still.

I think we're in the room and they're in the hall.

Is there a vent around?

You look around for a vent. You see one nearby, further from the fire, but no way to reach it. (there is a simple solution to this...)

But what if it's locked?
Throw the small one into the big one's eye. If possible, shoot the claw at the big one's eye. repeat.

Look around, then look back. Are the strange guys still doing strange noises?

You look in the drawers and cabinets. You got a Slightly Rusty Knife!
You look back. Looks like they are coming to. You notice in the light from a glowstick one is holding, that they are missing flesh in several places. Zombies. Who didn't see that coming? The fire has rounded the corner.

Go in the open door and try to escape.

You flee into the open room, and look around. It's an office, much like the one you woke up in. You see a desk with one drawer, a filing cabinet, a chair, and a pile of junk in the corner.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Resurection?

is it possible to resurrect a cat? Modding or otherwise? The kitten I started with died in the second year to a goblin ambush. What made him epic? He never adopted an owner. We need more cats like him.

You try to open the door, but it's locked. You look through the dirty, small window. You see what looks like a person, resting against the wall. They are gurgling. Your "Bad feeling about this" sensors go wild.

RUN!
Much obliged.
You run the other direction, the fire spreading slowly behind you. You are in a dark section of the hallway, there are doors on either side. One of them seems slightly open. You have a typical "Bad feeling about this" about this whole ordeal. Last you remember, you were at... where was it? Ah yeah, a dark alley. you had been told to meet someone there, but your mind is too foggy to remember. You hear a disturbing gurgling coming from the closed room.

In a horrified manner, scream like a sissy and squat in the corner. Cover your face and cry like a little girl who's mommy is missing. Hold that little Oculoid close to you, it is your only tether to the real world. CRY! CRY! Make yourself look pitiful and hopeless, make yourself look like your less threatening than AIR! Just make yourself seem to not be worth this monsters time! Give up all hope and pray that something good happens, then CRY more!

I'm not a troll, this just seems like something reasonable to do in such a situation.

Don't do this. Holding it close might make us loose the rest of our body.

Eat beef jerky.

You eat the beef jerky, you feel much more energized. You should find something to drink soon too.

Tap the pane of the vending machine, if glass crack by pressing the pencil really hard into it, if plasic just smash it with your fist...[/b[

I can tell the difference between glass and plastic just by the sound it makes when you tap it... if there are no other more obvious ways of telling the difference...

You tap the vending machine, it's plastic. You kick it as hard as you can. The covering shatters, and you claim your prize: A bag of beef jerky.
