Press Z. The Corporations are raiding the Desert Eagle Bar and Grill.
Just Give Up, or fight, and your problems are solved.

They're only usually available under Nightmare runs, since they only appear when nuclear power and pollution are arch-conservative, AFAIK. Other than that, they're not uncommon and seem to pop up all over the place.

I got one change that would be good:

Molotovs. Make it possible to start fires and burn down a location WITHOUT having to get in a fight. Also, make it possible to start fires in adjacent tiles, you're supposed to fling molotovs away from yourself, not at your own feet! As they are, molotovs are worse than useless, and I doubt anyone uses them in serious gameplaying.

I HATE fire in LCS. It seems that bunker gear doesn't STOP fire damage, it just reduces it somewhat.
The only conservatives that use molotovs are probably the CCS... which will not appear in this LP either. (I'm not sure whether normal Hicks and Yokels can use Molotovs. Also, they use Torch's which may logically be fire damage but not cause fires?)
I haven't played 3.18, so dunno what the differences would be. Molotovs now are a kamikaze suicide weapon only, since it's near impossible to damage your opponents without damaging yourself, and you can't cause fires ADJACENT to you, only in your own tile, so again you can't seem to cause arson without damaging yourself.

Or you could kill the CCS, which will net juice for all your sleepers.

RNG just being random. Mutants exist, it's just fate that you met one there.

Too bad you can't get to the outskirts of town without them.

Speaking of which, wonder how your members get back to town once they abandon their vehicles while being chased by agents?

Also, what happens to LCS who stay at the Bunker? Wonder how they get to town...

nonono... he died circa 2090... I had a save scummed before I disbanded so I decided to see what the end result would be and held down the key, yes.

Too bad for him you don't have any hippies.  ;)

I was in the homeless shelter, and it wasn't gaining any heat.

Why bother living anywhere else? er... cause you can't buy a printing press at the apartments, so no liberal guardian. boo. Also, no siege stuff.

Also, why'd you move out of the apartments? AFAIK, you still pay rent on them every month. Might as well get some mileage out of them.

Actually, the moral of the story is that your founder needs a Child Prodegy (or even a Child Moron would do) that can take over upon founder death.

Wouldn't really have helped. Most of my sleepers were dead of old age long before my founder. (judges and scientists and stuff are usually much older than your 24 year old founder)

***

Martial Arts is cool, but the only problem is that each hit is low damage, so it doesn't do very much against the stronger armors.
Actually, i tried using nothing but martial arts for the whole LCS. Finishing the game was not a problem. It's even easier with all swords. And Ninjas DO like katanas...

huh? I thought that your MLS moved out of the downtown apartments into somewhere else?

Anyhow, yeah, there must be a bug if Grimith wasn't raising the heat of the location where he was....

Uwagh. I just tried to perform a Classic, Nightmare, run. Conditions: No killing anyone, and I'm only allowed to influence the issues through sleepers. So, I put 1 sleeper in each location, the strongest type of each sleeper I could find. Except the courthouse, which got 1 hanghing judge and 1 lawyer.
So, disband once they're all 100% effectiveness, with everyone promoting liberalism, and off we go!
... yes, yes, 2020 and we're almost there!
...
Oops. Someone died of old age. Nevermind.
Er... someone else died too.
Er...
Uh oh... so many sleepers died that the slider is moving away from elite liberalism. A little.
Am I going to make it?
...
My founder just died of old age. Game OVER!!!
Curses. Morale of the story: More sleepers.

Murder, went around to the Police Station and Courtroom and apartments and went around slaughtering people.

Shouldn't this have racked up considerable amounts of heat?

Yeah, but you were much more daring in the first siege when you had uninjured front liners, then once they got injured you sort of wussed out and relied on the traps 100%. Would have been more exciting if you just switched out your neardeath guy and then charged bravely into battle. Though I did find it a learning experience that the AI eventually learns how to explore deeper into your base. I thought they would just stay near the front entrance FOREVER, based on how they camped there in my games...

Bunker Gear is like all-around tissue paper or something. hmm. Though it apparently DOES contain Kevlar, according to the wiki. So maybe it's better than I thought. Anyhow, it doesn't even protect that well from flamethrowers?

Ha. I originally thought armor could get [D]irty and ullet-holes.
