Two questions. Why are you not shifting the severely injured members into your backrow and letting the uninjured take point, during sieges?

Also, dunno about anyone else, but sometimes during sieges, I am not given the option of (E)quipping a squad. Which would be a bad time to have everyone naked in no armor.
BTW, damaged Army Body Armor seems better than non-damaged police armor and body armor. Seems so. And Bunker Gear is near worthless, IIRC.

WOW!!!  :o
In addition to his inhuman health and high agility and heart, Kurt Ross also includes shapeshifting among his Mutant Powers!

Mutants ROCK!!!

BTW, if you ever feel like hiring 1 more member, I would like to be a dancer/yoga instructor/athlete/black belt. My storyline is I join after hearing tales of the Legendary Grimith, and try to emulate him, in my own way. Equip me with a sword and armor, and let me go solo rampage from site to site. I would like to kill at least 1 Conservative per day, spending 3 days in each site before moving on to the next. ... Put the Ministry of Love last on my to-do list please, as I fear I will not survive the experience.

My child leader was my best interrogater EVUH! maybe that's because seeing an 8 year old wearing a damaged bloody DeathSquad uniform (probably oversized and adorable) forcing you to watch Bible Black with him... well, anyhow, they all broke pretty quick.

Curses / Re: LCS 4.02 Alpha Release 2

Er.

praguepride, your system would encourage throwing 1 punch, then running away. OR, even worse, not throwing that first punch at all.

The problem with 4.02 is not that 500 punches = max juice... the problem is that your fights are lasting 500 punches in the first place! WTF, is this supposed to be a fight between 2 blind men with broken limbs flailing at each other? 1000 punches? Streetfights take a minute or two to resolve, not hours like a pro boxing match!

As for sites being closed... hmmm... I'm rather torn here. On one hand, in Real Life, sites would be fairly easy to close down. Someone murdered there every day for a week? 3 security guards killed by a sword wielding maniac? ... yeah.
On the other hand, there's not that many places for the LCS to visit/influence issues. So if everywhere gets closed down, what's the LCS supposed to do? Worse, what if you want to influence the issues but can't cause the site is closed down?
So, I'm torn.

Er. When I want to make money selling brownies on Conservative Nightmare, I just recruit sweatshop workers and set them to it. If the deathsquads kill them, I lose nothing and can get more within 1 day.
Not very liberal though, so I don't bother.
Regardless, yes, street sense is pretty worthless...

Curses / Re: Something cool about converted Agents in LCS.

So do CEOs, Judges, Eminent Scientists, News Anchors and Radio Personallities. I think.
How do you tell? Well, one way is to convert them through persuasion or seduction.
Another is to play guitars at them (successfully). For enemies that have juice above 100, *name* seems less badass! For no juice, *name*'s Heart Swells!

note that to do this, you must bring an Agent over to your side via Persuasion or Seduction... a guitar squad makes this much easier. Or you could try to get 20 in either stat.
The reason: Enlightened cannot recruit.

Anyhow, an agent that is brought over to the LCS via these methods *keeps their juice*! So, a converted agent can immediately recruit that month. Due to the population of the Ministry of Love building, the chances are almost 100% that this sleeper will recruit ANOTHER AGENT... who will also have (200?) juice.
This leads to a chain reaction where you can end up with over 100 sleeper Agents in under a year game time, all stemming from your one original agent.

Murder, went around to the Police Station and Courtroom and apartments and went around slaughtering people.

ERK. I found out something WEIRD when you use a liberal child squad...

Heat does not go up. At ALL.

Evidently, children do not generate heat?

You're going to be thrilled at how Kurt's 20 health makes a difference. I was playing with my Liberal Child Squad, and BOY does their low health make a difference. Members of the LCS are getting shot to death so easily, it's not funny. Whereas my 20 health guys used to take magnum shots to the head "to no effect".

Curses / Re: How does age effect stats in LCS?
« on: March 21, 2010, 02:47:49 am »
Right! So it's 23 failed rolls for him to die, not 20!

Hmm... testing if I get the same result as you using simpler intuitive methods.
60-70 : 1 health loss
70-80 : 2 loss
80-90 : 3 loss
90-100 : 4
100-110 : 5
110-120 : 6

Edit due to careless mistake in multiplication:
And at 120, remainder 2 health, with 7 checks per day... E(n*7/3650)=2 .... n=1042.85
So that's 2 years and 313 days, same answer as you. SORTED.

errrr.... then why is Kurt running around rampaging in a Black Suit in your videos? He would be better off in police body armor. And  the best part is police body armor is an appropriate disguise in many areas.
But the black suit is more stylish!

BTW, your "punching people for fun and juice" has severely influenced my own playstyle. Boy all that ineffectual flailing around gives a lot more juice than one efficient shot to the head...

So what's the formula for modifying stats based on juice?

Curses / Re: How does age effect stats in LCS?

Er... averages are based on statistical expecation... E(1*10*365/3650)= 1... is that any better for you?

As for mutants, with that number of instances (P=1/3650, N= 200,000), you would have to be EXTREMELY unlucky or lucky to have your life expectancy deviate significantly from 118 years...

Also, I don't quite understand about the modified health stat being greater than 1 until base health is -4. Er... now I gotta ask how juice effects stats... I always thought it was a strict multiplier or something... what's the real formula?

Looks like Kurt Ross hasn't learnt the important lesson that Grimith should have followed:

When going on dangerous assignments potentially involving getting shot at, WEAR BODY ARMOR. :)
Preferably Army Body Armor (since you have no CCS, no Heavy Body Armor for you).

Kurt also has a lot more Health than Grimith... this means that, Army Body Armor or even possibly police Body Armor, combined with Kurt's mutated skin and flesh, would render Kurt near Bulletproof.

Of course, you might regard this as cheap and not in the spirit of RNG worship, but hey, I don't like my founder to die. *shrugs*
