A few deaths:
Accidentally backed out of a high window and fell to my death during Live With Killbane. In my (flimsy) defense, I was distracted by one of the Decker Specialists while she was sliding on her knees and leaning back. Truly, one of her deadliest moves that doesn't involve a hammer.
Had to retry several times the hard version of the Snatch activity in the NW sector of the city, due to the escortees' non-understanding of "get in the goddamned car". Said activity automatically maxes out your aggression level with the Deckers the moment you attack them or approach any of the targets; this results in the disconcertingly-fast arrival of multiple SUV-loads of tween edgelords dual-wielding SMGs from all directions. Sometimes, they'll have Specialists or Brutes(oftentimes with miniguns or flamers) hitched to the back. Consequently, I'd prefer to get the hell out of there quickly.
Not me except dying a little inside, doing the final mission, Three Way, fighting my way up the statue. Going up the statue, there's three random Saint mooks you can untie and have backing you up. I get up to the top level of the scaffolding and yeet the last of the bombs off the statue, but a minor error in the mission script made me run back to a previous waypoint(the game didn't register me as passing the waypoint because I passed around it).
After touching the waypoint, the game realized I had finished clearing the bombs and directed me to the final portion of the mission. As soon as I turned around, I saw about about 10 STAG troopers standing over the dead bodies of the three Saints who were backing me up. When the game triggers the objective after clearing the bombs, it also dismisses your followers, meaning they instantly lose all homie bonuses, such as improved health and more importantly the ability to be revived. Just one last kick in the balls by STAG before I kill off their second-in-command, I suppose. Those guys needed a hero, too.
Saints' Row the Third. Fun fact, two guys managed to get ahold of the source code for Saints' Row 2 and are making a remaster for PC, including the previously console-exclusive DLC missions. I hear(this is only hearsay) that progress on it is pretty good, too.
