I think I've hit some kind of plateau in terms of difficulty. Most of my team is around Lv.50-60, but most encounters near that level give little experience. Also, encounters at or above my level are more than capable of one-shotting any member of my team, and fainted Pokemon gain no experience. I can't progress through the story because
Spoiler: actual spoiler (click to show/hide)

There is an alpha Alakazam in the first zone with a very high level, but I haven't been able to capture it; it gives me a zero chance to catch even from behind with an Ultra Ball, and battling it is nearly impossible due to, again, one-shots on my entire team and the fact it loves abusing Agile-Recover to get a second turn, with which it will either Recover again or kill off another of my team.

It actually does hurt you slightly, though far less than when a Pokemon hits you outside of battle.

I haven't noticed any damage incurred so far, except for drowning.

I noticed it during some of the lord fights(where you have no recovery at all), I got hit by my own Pokemon's attack, and after the battle round was over I had a slight damage border on the screen. It's probable that you recover completely after a battle with a wild Pokemon, since you're no longer under threat then.

Can you screen your own pokemon from hits that way?

I recently picked the game up but haven't started playing it yet.

I don't think so, I got hit in the back by my own Voltorb's Energy Ball. I'm pretty sure it still hit its target. I don't remember, I lost that fight anyway.

I'll also point out that getting hit by Tri-Attack, which shoots three projectiles, you can get hit by one shot and the other two will still travel to the target. A neat little detail, though would be neater if the damage was reduced by 33%/that shot's status effect wasn't applied.

That'd be a hilarious way to win fights. Naming my pokemon "Mr. President" and then jumping in front of every attack, yelling "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT", only for my Cyndaquill or something to look at me like "What's this stupid human doing?"

What Pokemon would be best suited for a name like "Mr. President"? Because that is a hilarious concept.

Learned something today. In Legends: Arceus, you can walk around during battles. You can even walk in-between the battling Pokemon. If one of the Pokemon uses a projectile-like move, like Energy Ball or Tri-Attack, you can get hit by it. It actually does hurt you slightly, though far less than when a Pokemon hits you outside of battle.

Maybe it's one of those things to kill you at the end of the tutorial, to force you to start a 'real' game?

The tutorial runs at the start of every "real" game; it's to ensure you have the basics - food, water, research, housing, renewable wood - up before you start doing your own thing. Except that it doesn't account for the fact the first drought can come before or immediately after you complete the tasks if you're a bit slow in setting up(and don't skip ahead), and the amount of food and water production, and storage, the game tells you to place are far below what you'd need for your starting beavers to survive the first drought, let alone any kits born during the first cycle.

The second time around, I nearly doubled food production and water storage, and barely survived the first drought without anyone starving to death. Damn near close to a few starvation deaths, though.

EDIT: Screw Avalugg, screw that he has a very small window to send a Pokemon to attack him, and especially screw the fact every time you die and restart the battle from the beginning, items you've used are still gone.

Also, the other nobles are fought by throwing their favorite food at them. Avalugg however utilizes something called "Eternal Ice"(possibly a variant of Never-Melt Ice), which you must retrieve from atop a large mound called "Avalugg's Legacy". Given the shape of the mound, could it be that Avalugg's favorite food actually comes from the corpse of his own kind?

Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator? It's not so much a game as a sandbox, but that's basically exactly what you're asking for.

Right as I finished the tutorial section, a drought warning appears. I barely had enough water stored, but the problem was that I no food stored whatsoever, due in part to the fact the tutorial misinforms you how many fields you need, and in part because the drought hit just before harvest. Everyone died of starvation just as the river was coming back.

Was trading shots with another tank, lost my radio operator/machine gunner - not sure which, it's the guy in the front-right seat of a PZ.III, the voiceover says "radio operator/gunner" - and tried to back into cover. Notably, the Pz.III backs up slowly. Then an enemy bomber, quite possibly salty that I had just bombed their tank moments before, buries one in the sand a few feet away from me. I pushed it into forward, and barely avoided any damage from the bomb as well as getting shot by an enemy tank. The enemy flew over shooting at some teammates, and as they made another pass, I blew the plane in half with my main gun.

We lost the match, but as the match exited I finished off the tank I had been trading shots with.

I applaud Akura for still playing it and dealing with it.  :P

Eh, I kind of burnt out on it already. Plus, some of the bug reports I'm seeing now, such as ships being yeeted across the universe, has put me off on actually starting the game a little.

The company that the store I work in is part of redrew the regional maps, so that the store - which is on Long Island - is now part of the US Northwest region.

Geography.

Got thrown by an explosion into lava. The game waited until I finished the standing up animation before realizing I was in lava and killed me. Then, after reloading the checkpoint, which was on a platform far above any lava, the game locked me in a state of "on the ground, in lava, therefore dead", keeping me dying immediately upon reloading the checkpoint. This, of course, broke all mission progress, not that the mission is very long.

Also, you know the word gaol, which is obviously pronounced gaol and means a prison? Well, no, as I learned today thanks to a character in Elden ring its just flat out pronounced the same as the word jail because they are actually the same word except gaol is british.

I learned this years ago from American McGee's Alice: Madness Returns, which is set in the late 19th century.

Started playing Legends: Arceus today.

Still at the beginning where the objective is basically just "go out and research basic stuff; try not to die". Getting mauled to death by a wild Pokemon is actually a thing. Well, not for you, though you can still get mauled. The result is probably the same as whiting out in the main games.

The plan to get everyone to level 20 before promoting them was a massive success. Kane(spelled "Cain" during the battle, because translation) went down only being able to get one attack out(his Sword of Darkness effect; it missed). Mishaela, whom I've long considered to be the hardest boss in the game, didn't even get a turn to attack - she didn't even get a turn of regeneration. In all my prior playthroughs, that fight was a desperate race to out-damage her regeneration whilst she constantly dumps Bolt 2 on my entire army with her infinite MP.

Bleu the dragon, one of the characters I used to abandon right away, is currently flying around the battlefield murdering most enemies in 1-2 hits, and usually taking scratch damage in return. Because of the way the game calculates experience gain, promoted characters are still considered low level even if their stats aren't, so Bleu especially is still gaining levels and massive stat gains.

The only characters I haven't done this for are the two I still have left to recruit. And those two are actually going to be a little hard since one's a mage and the other is a healer.

So does that mean Richie Rich could become Batman if you killed his parents to?

*loads pistol* Only one way to find out.

Li'l Bruce Wayne looks exactly like Richie Rich, except with black instead of blonde hair. Particularly interesting since it's a different publisher and artist.

PRE-EDIT: I can't find the wiki page described for Li'l Bruce Wayne.
