All I know is, microtransactions basically make games pointless for me.  If I play a game I want to own it.  Microtransactions mean even if you pay a crapload of money you still don't actually own the game, just little bits and pieces.  I personally like the system, say, Runescape, uses.  I have no idea about the games like LoTRO, so maybe they do use that sort of a system and not...microtransations...

You don't own any MMO, so I'm not sure what you're going on about.

Musical blocks sounds incredible. Unless it's lever only, you could potentially program entire songs.

Make it water activated. Just run water over it and you've got yourself a song.

Build some roads to section off the map? Does fire only spread to adjacent?

They do allow DRM, but they don't have an in-house one.

That could be a negative aspect, depending on the games, because one DRM built into the service is better than ten different DRM systems created because "DRM reduces piracy".
It's not really a circumventable aspect, I don't think. I don't know how it works on steam with games that normally sell with DRM, but at least with gamersgate you're sure there's no overlap. The alternative would be every game on gamersgate having DRM, which would be horrible, or the site pirating DRM-less games and selling them, which would be illegal.

With Gamersgate you're likely to get different versions of the same DRM, which could wreak havoc on things. Gamersgate just takes in whatever DRM the developer throws in with their game.

It's, essentially, a DRM-free steam, with no client to download.

They do allow DRM, but they don't have an in-house one.

I don't understand this map pack thing :|

You can make your own maps but that would be bad. Instead you should give someone money for maps.

Uh, the thing about transferring ownership... a 3 install DRM doesn't go against it at all (although I agree it's retarded).

You can still sell the game disc on, it just won't work if you install it multiple times.  I mean, you can't watch a movie, sell the ticket to someone else and expect them to get to see it too.

I can watch a DVD any number of times, sell it to someone, and they can watch it any number of times. A ticket is a one time rental. A game disc is not.

Just had a couple of ambushes pop themselves. As soon as both appeared on the edge of the map, I got the notification. They then killed one member each (one squad killed a goblin member and the other a dwarf member) and then both ran away.

WTF?

Was the leader killed?

The real question is can we have planets with/without atmospheres that require us to move their orbits so they can become habitable?

I'm playing Star Wars:KotOR on an ASUS 1215N. It does have 2GB RAM and ION2, which helps immensely. It hangs a bit with GTA Vice City, but I think that's the HD bottlenecking.

Boost your RAM and you should be good for most anything 5+ years old.

For people above me, there's so much funkiness to killing things outright with Runesmith that I just use dfhack liquids to drown or burn things.

Always keep at least one spare anvil. They are cheap.

Meh. He's got a business to set up. It's like being asked to work full time while moving to a new house.

Been there, done that. It didn't take this long.
