I don't suppose there would SOMEHOW be two NPCs living in this dome on this peaceful world who somehow have knowledge of space-faring and can help Gustave carry this baby to glory?

Worst-case, though, so what if we all go and the planet goes Das Kaput? We'd still be alive, and we (not me, really) sure as hell tried to save the day. The sooner the Imperium knows, the sooner they can maybe-possibly-somehow-probably-kinda-sorta-halfass attempt to deal with this.

...Unless they followed us into space, and we risked spreading the doomy doom to the rest of the galaxy.

They don't really care about it, you guys could fly it to the station and call for help if you want. Would take a few days, though.

How many of us would it take to pilot the thing? Just one? I believe Gustave would have some experience with flying small craft. In that case, he could take it upon himself to, y'know, call for bigtime help to save the peaceful planet. After all, with the trader dead, Gustave's debt no longer exists. Might as well get this shit solved and GTFO so he can go murder someone more important to his plan for vengeance.

Sweet! Well, now that Gustave's debt to the Trader has been erased with the execution, it's time for Mister Guischard to party! ...by scattering all of the pieces, dice, cards, boards, instructions, boxes, and tokens along whatever trenchworks he managed to make along the eastern way. Perhaps they'll act like the confusion traps from Evil Genius and force the attackers to go "Guh wha???"

I reckon that also welcomes Gustave to a massive supply of board games to use as doomy doom decoys?

Don't suppose the Trader would be willing to share any useful info about this development, would he?

Unfortuitiously, I cannot hunt and slaughter the Conservatives who flee from me. Otherwise, rest assured, this would have been done. =P

While I was asleep (conveniently missing the... "action"), Gustave found a way to keep busy. How? Lesse... Staring at the hole the railgun blasted through the doomy doom, glaring at Teh Suck shotgun, exchanging said shotgun for a shovel, overseeing the conversation the rest of the party had with the Trader, deciding being around the Trader for very long wasn't a good thing, using the shovel to form a trench or two outside of the entrance where the NAMED ONE collapsed in order to provide better defence for part of the dome missing, wishing he could use the shovel right now to crush the throat of someone in his past, hoping an attack would come right now just so he'd have a chance to kill something, and asking the Trader for an incredibly massive collection of board games just as soon as the other defenders stop screwing with the only reason this planet's still alive: The Trader.

Let's consult the Trader for his sagely advice regarding the manner. More importantly, considering how many HUEG chunks the party still possesses (basically, they're not lacking a trading commodity), perhaps there'd be a way to cajole the Trader and his helpers to, well, help in exchange for a share of the body. After all, I'm sure another one of these things could be found to kill. Let's worry about, y'know, getting the beast out of the way and fixing the dome.

Also, what has the Trader bought to the Domed Planet in terms of goodies?

I don't suppose we have any armor piercing ammo just casually laying around, do we? That'd be really useful.

...You don't suppose a railgun would do the trick, do you?

We should definitely focus fire on its sole arm. Even if we don't kill it, the fact it only has one arm is promising. Perhaps we'd reduce it to bellyflopping if we somehow blow the limb off through the power of shotgunnery and melee. That's what Gustave will do, anyway: Shotgun. He feels embolden by the success of Harlon, and it's not like he has a better weapon on-hand. Perhaps he should have grabbed a grenade...

It looked like Nodachi's attack had some potential despite the armor penalty. You folks reckon there's any way we could give this armoured beast a shockingly good time!?

Naturally, Gustave must yell the gist of this in a sardonic attitude while glaring at the NAMED BEAST and wondering why Teh Suck Shotgun had to reveal its true colours now.

How do I deal with the heat? Violence. In 4.02.0 (and I doubt this was changed in 4.02.1), you only need to defeat three squads of soldiers in order to repel a siege. So long as you engage the weakened squads, you will almost never get shot at, much less lose a Liberal. You can harvest the M16s and ArmyBodyArmor you get from the dead Soldiers, twiddle your thumbs for two weeks, and wait for another attack to come. This can get tedious, however, so what I do is relocate after each siege to a different safehouse. The government will waste its energy raiding the place you've just emptied before shrugging its shoulders and asking, "Where the hell did they go!?"

In my current game, my safehouse has 93% Heat and 90% Secrecy; it's a fully upgraded (sans Liberal Guardian) abandoned warehouse the Conservatives have not yet raided. I've been there for... uh, about a month, I'd say, and all of the laws are still Arch-Conservative, so they have perfectly good reason to attack:

Certainly, I am entertained by looking at other people discuss and implement their Liberal Hierarchies, but I would rather assemble a godawful Gang Leader founder with the worst stats I could generate, execute the starting Gang Members in order to lose Heart, and attempt to win the game from there than make a lengthy chain-of-command. I'll leave the funsies to someone else. =P

-EDIT: Typo! OH NOES.

Curses. Well, I had to try about the dice. Anyway, I'll stick with the shotgun. Let's not get overcomplicated here and assume my character can use all sorts of ninja hax. Until the shotgun confirms it is actually Teh Suck, it will be fine.

Do we also possess an infinite number and variety of game dice? If so, that's an important feature to include in the SUPER INVENTORY REVIEW. Why, if that were true, I promise Gustave would be more than ecstatic to spend his time scattering those dice around the dome, preferrably treated with an exceptionally sticky (alternatively: slippery) coating to fluster assailants. Naturally, flustered doom would be immediately accosted by Gustave's shotgun.

Also, if there are any nearby trees (nearby as within visible sight of the dome), and if proper sharp implements were at Mister Guischard's disposal, I reckon he'd like to attempt to harvest some lumber in an attempt to turn the surroundng land into an obstacle course. If such is unfeasible, he'd also like to consult with the Trader for gimmies like "an infinite supply of board games"; Gustave could use those to create a distracting landscape full of Life Tokens and Monopoly Money. Should THAT be unfeasible, he will inquire about borrowing a shovel before proceeding to make the land an offensive nightmare. Unsophisticated? Yes. Brutal? Absolutely. Funsies for everyone? YOU BET.

In addition to the above, he'd like to see about acquiring a Portable Light Source and an Adhesive Substance (such as duct tape) in order to have light in the event he must fight in the dark against the forces of doomy doom. If he could somehow take the blade of a sword and implement it as a bayonet (high quantities of realism, but let's consider what's been suggested thus far), that'd also help his shotgun not be afflicted by Teh Suckage, and it would go long and far towards helping Gustave slay his foes... so long as, y'know, he doesn't critically miss.

All right. That's enough wordiness. LET'S GET ON WITH IT! Implementing the above, that is. It'd be helpful. ^_^

If you don't mind a bit of risk, a criminal record, and some 'F' key usage, you can earn 1000 Juice in under a week. Observe:

(The following screenshots are taken with 4.02.0. Why? I'm still playing my first game with it, so I have not yet bothered to update.)

Step 1: Create your founder.

Step 2: Send him forth to stop EVIL.

Step 3: Accost a lone Conservative.

Step 4: Flail at him wildly with your limbs.

Step 6: PROFIT!

Repeat Steps 1-6 until...
Step 7: Assume the mantle of Elite Liberal!

From there, build the Liberal Crime Squad as you see fit. The criminal charges may concern you, but you can deal with those later.
