it does, but  notice that ascending and descendign nodes shown will change depending on your orbit. Which is great when you align your orbital plane, less great when they are required to be in a specific place that is no longer shown. Maybe switching to another craft will work, but for now I wrote that off as a lost rocket. Not that expensive thankfully.
( or maybe the error is in the argument of periapsis? what is the argument of periapsis?)

Just align with the target orbit and your nodes will be in the right place -- all they are are the points where your orbit crosses the equatorial plane. The nodes you are shown are where your orbit and the target orbit cross, which is what you need to know to get the alignment right.

Argument of periapsis is the angle between your ascending node and the periapsis. You can't actually see the ascending node, but you can compare the periapsis of your current and target orbits.

KSP is all about the ratio of engine to fuel and booster to payload. Build something that sort of looks like a real rocket and you'll make orbit. Also learn to configure staging, auto staging usually screws up at least one critical detail.

Looks like someones old hobby project. Checking his post history, I think he abandoned it because there's only so far you can go with a console text game. Anyway, you're best bet would be to PM him on those forums.

Yes. Attempted it again, this time going back to the previous sector to save first. Managed to pick off a few fighters who had split off from the group leaving just two Novas to guard the base. I figured I could take them, but no. The first one depleted my shields with its rear turret and then the second came up from behind with an extremely loud rapid fire weapon that took two seconds to kill me.

Probly PRG if I remember right. One of a number of weapons that were added to increase the difficulty by eliminating the players ability to dodge. Their weakness is their short range, but actually exploiting that in anything other than a one-on-one duel is difficult. I'd much rather they increased the difficulty by improving the AIs ability to fight, but the game is what it is.

Best advice for this mission is to ignore it for a while and come back in a properly outfitted ship. You can do that in almost any Egosoft plot line though they are always written to imply otherwise. Just fly away and do your own thing for a while.  Alternately, try it again till the RNG equips those Nova's with more reasonable weapons.

iirc rotarycraft's DragonAPI conflicts with some other mod. I ran into that problem while creating a custom modpack.

A lot of that was fixed in V4. Just tested it and TDT at least loads with a bunch of Reika's mods installed.

The Java 8 problem is fixable:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2206446-forge-1-6-4-1-7-2-java-8-compatibility-patch

Or downgrade java to version 8 release 11 or earlier.

EDIT: Does this program look safe? http://www.techradar.com/downloads/recuva

She really doesn't use the computer very much, so I'd say there's a very good chance the deleted file hasn't been overwritten yet. I want to try, anyway. I know it would mean a lot to her if we could get that world back...

Haven't tried it, but its got to be worth a shot.

If windows doesn't have a restore point for that folder, you're pretty much out of luck. There is software which can recover deleted files, but it depends on the fact that deleted files are just marked as empty space rather than actually erased, so the odds of another program having written over that space by now are pretty high. You can try it if you like, though. I don't know of any good free ones, last time I looked everything demanded money to actually recover files. The world is not stored on client computers in any form so recovering it from your computer would be impossible.

If you have the seed you can regenerate the same world, though all your work would still be gone.

Ooh ooh, what do you guys recommend for tech mods?

Rotarycraft is interesting. Power is distributed through rotating shafts and Is handle pretty realistically (except torque is distributed incorrectly if you split a shaft) and its gated through player knowledge rather than by making later tiers exponentially more expensive, so you won't be spending too long at the crafting table producing components and sub components as you do in ic2.

You'll want another tech mod alongside it though, rotarycrafts liquid pipes don't work well over long distances and the item pipe is only good for one to one distribution, maybe many to one. I'm using TE ducts to fill those gaps. Also there's no power teleport in rotarycraft though you can covert to and from RF, so tesseracts will com in handy.

Looking at the source, there is also a constructor that takes a string and a Properties, so there is a version of the library that will compile. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a method to attach the Properties after creating the interface, or any other way of specifying font and text size.

Isn't it 4*INT + 4*Elec + 3* first aid + 1*mechanics?

I still think most of FE2/FFEs problems resulted from Braben not knowing how to fly it properly himself. The manual gives you exactly the wrong advice on how to fly in combat, and the game does not give you an indication of your velocity relative to target, which is the velocity you are interested in in a dogfight. That results in the jousting matches that get mentioned every time someone talks about space shooters with newtonian physics.

120 is the release candidate for the next version of simutrans standard. It should be better than 112.3, but it might be bugged.

Experimental is different. Get it here:
http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=13772.0

It might complain about missing .dll files, in which case install the latest visual C redistributable.

If you're playing in experimental, turn on convoy spacing, and the bus will leave when it gets to its minimum load or at its scheduled departure time. In standard minimum load is dangerous unless you ensure deadlocks are impossible.
