absorb the lightning!!!

You absorb the lightning, and you feel... more powerful... somewhat.

     +2 Magic

FUUUU-!"
I set a physchonetic force field around fuffs. Wonder why the storm reaches over an hour in travel distance.
A glowing orange bubble appears around fuffs.

((Also: You're an aspie? High-five! So am I!))

"have you guys experimented with.... energized weapons?"

"Energized weapons? Sure, we've mucked around with them a bit, but we find that kinetic weapons are more efficient. And then there's Star-Reapers. Basically an unmanned ship, equipped with a FTL drive which works by bending space around the ship. Send that plunging through the heart of a star, and Boom! no more star. We haven't used those since the Core World Wars... I gues you could call those energy weapons."
"I'll take as much metal that you can give me please!"

"Okay, so that's three metric tons of thorium for how many tons of crystal?."

8553
((you're lucky Toady hasn't inputted all of the poisons yet cause metallic poisoning is right here))

((You really think the representatives of an interstellar civilization would be dumb enough to bring radioactive metals without radiation-proof containers to carry them in?))

"Well, you seem to be on hostile terms with those long-eared humanoids which live in the forests of this region. You could always just jury-rig the canisters with the Thorium fuel rods in them to explode when exposed to sudden stress, such as when striking the ground after being fired from a catapult. Just chuck 'em at your enemies."

"I think have some broken ribs..." *Passes out.*

8554
"Thorium is a radioactive metal, which can be used as fuel for nuclear fission reactors. Much cleaner than Uranium."
"So, do we have a deal?"

((Here's a more comprehensive description of thorium:[LINK]))
((Also: My bad about that. Haven't been sleeping much lately. Just found the Slender Man Mythos. Scary stuff. Took all my willpower this morning not to run back up the driveway screaming while I was waiting for the bus this morning. Living in a densely wooded patch of the country {I could never handle living in the city. Not being able to see the stars on a cloudless night just strikes me as wrong.} and waiting for the bus at 6:45 AM can really mess with an over-active imagination.))

*Nysa grabs MrNuke by the throat, hoists him off the ground and chucks him at a wall*
"I dislike your behaviour."

"Go Nysa!" *coughs up blood* "Medic..."

*Nysa turns back to MM*

"So, how does all of the thorium we brought, for enough crystals to warm a roughly earth-mass Gaian-Gelidian planet to earthlike temperatures sound? We'll throw in your choice of asteroidal ores, totalling 2 metric tons in weight, a Vacuum Energy Cell, and some spices from our adopted homeworld as incentive."

OH NO. Whenever I try to transport the raws over to a copy of 31.18, when I start up the game and select Continue, It comes up with an error saying ERROR,Missing (MAGIC_TEMPLATE)or(STONE_TEMPLATE) or some other raw. am I doing something wrong?  :(

Did your save folder already have a region1 folder before you stuck the folder for the MurderedCopper save? Just empty the save folder, copy the region1 folder into it. Then try again.

*Nysa also deals with trade*

"Hey, what about me?"

"Shut up."

*Nysa backhands Vorthon, sending him flying about 50 feet into a wall.*

Why has nobody nominated the Tinker Gnomes From D&D for the dwarven side yet? In the first volume of the encylopaedia Magica (A compendium of magic items and artifacts, for the second edition) the second 'apparatus' entry mentions that Tinker Gnomes may be responsible creating it. What is this Apparatus, you may ask. Well, basically it's a giant road paving machine, which basically chews up the ground it runs over superheats it, chemical treats it and then leaves it behind in a kind of trail, and keeps going in a straight line. No Matter What. And it's not limited to one world either. Once fully submerged in ocean water, it randomly warps to another world, drives out of the ocean and resumes making a road until it's fully submerged again. That is truly dwarven.

"Good. So in theory, six of those placed side by side should be able to heat an entire planet? Also, what would you like from us?"

8561
"Kelvin. It's an absolute temperature scale, with 0 Kelvin being the coldest possible temperature, which is -273.15 degrees celsius. But judging by the fact it can melt steel is encouraging. What variety of steel though? I mean, the amount of carbon, manganese, and any other of a wide variety of additivies can affect the physical properties of steel. Also, what's the largest that you can make them? Heating up a planet is energy-intensive work."

8562
"Hmm... Warmth... Could be useful for the ice mining operations out in the Psundo system... Might actually be able to heat Niixol up enough to bring it out of that deep freeze... How many could you provide? And exactly how hot can they get? In Kelvin, of course."

8563
"Gems? Really? I mean, we've crossed interstellar space to get here. Why would we trade for something we could find back home?"

"She has a point."

*a vast ship appears in the sky overhead. It menaces with a Solar Sail of awesome and has many bright lights.*
*looks up*

"Hey... That looks familiar..."

*A small drone deploys from the ship and descends to roughly ground level*

"ATTENTION HUMANOIDS: THIS WORLD HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR A CROSS-CULTURAL EXCHANGE WITH TORIKAN ENCLAVE C-4-D-TQ7-DELTA PLEASE STAND BY FOR MERCANTILE INTERACTION."

"I should've guessed this would happen... What do we have to trade? Clothing is something I can rule out right away because, well, Torikan males, while roughly human-sized, tend to be extremely low on the social ladder of C-4-D-TQ7-Delta. Whereas females, being, on average, at least a good 2-3 feet taller and considerably stronger, would find any clothing we have for trade to be... inadequate..."

*Another craft detaches from the main ship and descends to surface. Once landed, a group of male torikan, of various varieties, pull out a several large cargo containers by chains attached to them. Behind them is a midsized (Read: 8'8'' tall, 412lbs) female torikan, snow leopard variety.*

"Nysa? That you?"

"Vorthon! It's been a while!"

*engages in a conversation in a strange alien language*
*Yells back into the fort*
"Hey, guys, they've got some Vacuum Energy Cells that they could trade us! And some ores they mined of a bunch of asteroids! And Thorium!"

I think it should be some kind of pidgin dwarven. Y'know, since they're both short humanoids who live in holes in the ground.

Also: Back before the adventure mode overhaul, I added a Gnomish civ in this one mod I was working on (And am still working updating for 31.18.). Made them a fortress mode enabled race. Good times... Good times...
